The campground is nothing short from exceptional. I do wish the restrooms and showers were upgraded a little bit and maintained a bit better. It was a little contradictory to be told that felling trees would be illegal, yet the permanent campers were allowed to do so?

The campground is beautiful. There are several hiking trails nearby. The Ranger Station has lots of useful info (and a nice trail). Looking Glass Falls is close by. Brevard is a beautiful town to browse shops. Let's not forget Dolly's Ice Cream, which is a must have for my grands. The quiet, peaceful sounds of the river are truly relaxing. We love this area!

Absolutely magical place with birds serenading your morning coffee and fireflies winking you to sleep. Loved it here and will return.

Perfect location for some epic mountain biking. Quiet, showers and close to Bike Hub/Brewery.

Campground is great! I love the whole area. I love seeing the many waterfalls, driving the Blue Ridge parkway, riding my bike on the trail and visiting sliding rock. Visit Hawg Wild for some great bbq and Dollys for ice cream. Don’t miss Triple Falls and High Falls. One of my favorite campgrounds!

Was very pleasantly surprised. Have not historically had the best luck camping in a National Park/Forest, but Davidson River was the exception. Very well maintained and had signs everywhere so getting there wasn't a problem. In addition, so many close hikes and areas of interest to check out, all very well maintained and easy to find.
