Nice secluded area with campsites. The bathrooms seemed a bit breezy for colder months.

Staff were welcoming upon my arrival and made sure to explain the rules of the campground as well as showing me where I would find my campsite, as well as a few other amenities. On my departure, they were quick to ask how my stay was, and answer any questions I had about the campgrounds seasonal days.

We were tent camping with our small children during a road trip. The campground was lovely for our purposes. We really enjoyed the quiet of the poplar loop. There was plenty of growth between the sites to give a feeling of isolation. My only complaint is that the bathhouse facilities need some love. They functioned fine but, well, felt like an old bathhouse in the woods, which it is. Otherwise this was a fine campground with river access. It's close to Brevard if you want civilization. And it's a great launching point for all sorts of hikes. Would stay again.

Campsites are isolated and clean. Weather was perfect and restrooms were well maintained and cleaned regularly.

Campground nice and clean, many sites very wooded and private, and great access to river swimming and tubing. The negatives include $8 small bundle of wood that felt like highway robbery and the perimeter of our site was covered in poison ivy so I had to be very careful even getting in and out of the car and couldn’t hang my hammock.

I had a wonderful time here -- I tend to stick to more dispersed camp sites, but after several days of backcountry camping, I was ready for a hot shower.Excellent facilities and very serene. I loved walking around the camp and down to the swimming area to swim and do a little fishing. Very close to several trail heads as well, so plenty of convenient daytime hiking opportunities in this gorgeous forest. It was my first time to Pisgah and I am a huge fan now. Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go back.
