We always have a wonderful time tent camping at Davidson River Campground at our favorite campsite. The campground and facilities are always clean and people respect the quiet times.

Great way to start off the fall season is, camping at Davison River Campground. Its low-key but has a little bit of everything great trails right off the camping sites, breweries, killer food are also very close by, and if you want you can ride up to the blue ridge parkway and explore Asheville for a bit from there as well. We love coming up here this is one of our favorite get aways.

Grounds well kept, rest rooms clean, and excellent hiking trails including the North Slope Trail and Art Loeb Trail. Ranger Station within walking distance.

Overall experience was very nice, as always. But the restroom in the roadside loop, next to site#140, with only one toilet available to use for not only the roadside sites, but also used by many riverside loop sites is very inconvenient. It has been this way for some time. And the restroom was not cleaned very well.

Perfect location for tent camping! Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. The person at the entrance was friendly, courteous and helpful. The campground was quiet in the evening. We've camped at Davidson River Campground before and try to get the same spot each time.

Davidson River is our favorite campground! Always so well run and friendly staff. This time we explored Dupont State Forest and it was amazing. We will be back soon!

There was only one functional woman's toilet for our part of the campsite.Double and triple check your reservation - we had reserved for 2 nights and they only had us listed for one and it turned into a massive cluster.
