Great area, lots to do and see. Only drawback was our bathroom facility in the sycamore loop. It was dirty, and cleaned only once while we were there 6 days.

Beautiful large level sites. Only reason that it doesnt get 5 stars is the lack of water hookups. It is a great place to go to explore the waterfalls in the Pisgah National Forest.

Loved our campsite. Lots of room, quiet spot. Only complaint is the shower was on a push valve and no control over temperature. There was also only 1 toilet and 1 shower but we never ran into anyone else where we had to wait.

Always a great camping experience at Davidson River Campground. Clean bathrooms, hiking and cycling trails, restaurants and breweries. Also offers access to Nantahala Preserve and Dupont forest.

The property is fantastic. Beautiful riverside property nestled in the Pisgah National Forest. Campsites are far apart from one another and there is foliage between each campsite. The town of Brevard is close by with restaurants, breweries, and grocery stores if needed, but you felt far away while in the campground. There are a lot of bathroom facilities. Great place for boondocking.

The campground host at Site 55 was fantastic. We stayed during the winter storm that occurred Saturday night into Sunday. He informed us early on the campground and the road leading into the campground would not be cleared until Monday afternoon. He came around Sunday morning during the storm to make sure everyone was comfortable staying and let us know to reach out to him if we needed anything.
Overall the campground was gorgeous, nice facilities, and plenty to do nearby. Really looking forward to our next stay!

The Davidson River Campground and the Pisgah National Forest is a great place to visit! Wonderful hikes and beautiful vistas. We hiked John Rock, Upper and Lower Yellowstone Prong Falls (Located off the parkway at Grave Yard Fields). Enjoyed the fall leaf colors.

Very nice campground, spaced out nicely. Could use more bathroom facilities as the bath house has only one toilet and one shower. Thank you

First impression was shabby and unkept. The restrooms were filthy. Only one of the water fill stations worked. Our electric only campsite was gravel, grass/weeds and asphalt with a fire pit that needed cleaned out. Poison ivy was plentiful. Woodlots were perfect housing for venomous habitants. This was the poorest managed, maintained and overpriced campgrounds we have been in.
It was off-season but the place was great! We didn't use the bathrooms but the grounds were clean, the electricity worked and it was a nice place to stay in the winter. Looking forward to bringing the grandkids back in summer!

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
