The campground was closed the two nights of our reservation. How do we get a refund?

We love Davidson River and camp here a handful of times a year for mtb races. Beautiful area! Sites arent the most private but the rivers really loud so noise is never issue. Super super nice clean new bathrooms on two loops! Area area and campgrounds.

Excellent county park, scenic river and trails. Beautiful falls and creeks. Very well maintained and clean the campground, bathrooms and the rest of the park. Definitely well back to camping again!

Campsite was clean. Bathrooms were in acceptable condition. Campground was very family-friendly. Loved that it was right outside of town (Brevard) for quick access to conveniences.

We have always enjoyed camping at Davidson River for many years. We make our reservations ahead of time, because we especially like the Hemlock Loop. Somehow I click on the wrong departure date for our Oct. 2019 trip and wanted to stay more days than I had booked. I was told inOrder to extend our stay being willing to move to a first come first serve site in the Riverbend loop that I would have to get up and be at the office by 6:30 am. I did this reluctantly since I really didnt like having to start my F250 deisel while others were sleeping. When I arrived at the office I was told all sites were already taken. I had also asked if we could move the evening before when there were sites empty and available in the Riverbend Loop, but was told I would have to wait until the next morning. I have never had to do this before with the previous management. We were very disappointed and couldnt find other accommodations in the area even around Cherokee and Gatlinburg, therefore had to go home. I feel since we were already inside the park we should have gotten for chance at the first come first serve sites before they gave them to 5 others that were waiting outside the gate to get the sites. I definitely left us with a frustrated feeling that we have never had before and hope to not experience again. Still love the campground overall and it has been a favorite for years.

Rustic and secluded, but one does not feel alone. The campsites are well maintained and proximity to the Davidson river for fly fishing is one of a kind.
