IMHO, National Forest Service campgrounds are the GOLD standard in campgrounds. Spacious, nicely spaced and equipped sites, plenty of bathroom facilities w/showers, numerous water pumps, firewood and ice for sale at the entrance (the National Park Service doesn't even do that), super friendly staff and everything well-maintained (given what I'm sure is less than ideal funding). 5 Stars all the way!

Quiet campground with abundant wildlife and trail access. Would go again!

We love Davidson River Campground!! We go at least once a year and twice when we can. Our grandchildren love to ride bikes on the loops or play by the river. Its kept very clean, the sites are well maintained and the staff is so friendly and helpful.

Second year in a row at Davidson River and absolutely loved it! We hiked the 4 mile north slope trail, jumped in the river and rode bikes. We love the Hub and of course Dolly’s ice cream at the bottom of the hill. My kids loved Riveter only 20 minutes away and we finished the day with dinner at Sierra Nevada gardens.
Highly recommend Davidson River for camping and all that Brevard and surrounding areas offer!!!

My new favorite campground! Spots were all beautiful, not many you can go wrong with! Bathrooms were clean, and hosts were all soooo kind! Congrats to Bruce and his new wife on their marriage ;) We’ll be back soon!!!
