Campground was clean and well-run as always. The front gate staff are outstanding.

Our stay at Davidson River Campground was, as always, wonderful. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Love to see the smiles at the gate after our 6-hour drive to get there! We've been camping here for over 30 years and even though the facilities date farther back from that, they were in good repair and functioning. We're excited to know new bath houses are coming this year, but even though the current ones are very old they were kept remarkably clean and well-stocked by the vigilant staff. Bryan Ellis and his wife do an amazing job of keeping the campground running smoothly and with a smile even though their own RV residence was badly damaged during Helene and is still undergoing repairs. Davidson River is our dream home away from home. Keep up the great work!

We enjoyed our stay at Davidson River. The campground was well-maintained. We liked the fact that it was a short ride into town, but still felt "out in the woods." We even caught a few fish!

While our campsite was lovely, the walking path was right behind us. People could see into our site from every side, hard to find privacy.

My pups and I had a great stay at Davidson. Many of the sites are well-spaced and there is a fair amount of vegetation for added privacy. I was in Appletree (that might not be the right name) on the creek. My site was a double site which I didn't need and wasn't all that close to the creek. I could hear traffic on the road across from the creek but in the evening and at night wasn't an issue. Many of the sites on the creek are doubles so that could mean noise; I'll pay better attention when I book next time to avoid that scenario. Brevard is a great place to have as a home base (food, shops). My favorite hiking location is up on the Parkway and there are so many beautiful waterfalls all around Brevard. Dupont is close by too (hiking, biking). Will def go back to this cg. Nice staff!

An absolute beautiful campground with so much to do! Bathroom is clean and well maintained. Be aware of bears, they were spotted on sight at night. Will return.

The location is fantastic, loved our double site by the river. Bathrooms were clean and refreshed daily. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ice and firewood were always available, but weren't cheap. Loved the fishing all the way along the river, and the swimming down at the hole where the river bends, at the nearby waterfalls and at Sliding Rock. Lots to do nearby, in Brevard, up on the Parkway and at the Cradle of Forestry. I also enjoyed driving down gravel forest service roads looking for remote, primitive camping spots and fishing and swimming holes for future trips. When you get ready for some food cooked and served to you by others, I recommend the BBQ and Mexican restaurants in Brevard and the restaurant at the Pisgah Inn on the Parkway. Try their pecan encrusted trout with the blueberry butter - it was awesome!
