We have been coming to this campground for45 years. It has changed over the years but it still is our go to spot for camping in the mountains. Looking forward to the bathroom upgrades

We love camping here in the off-season. Its still busy but not as busy as summer and hosts are friendly and helpful. The $8 booking fee seems high compared to other campgrounds we visit and book through recreation.gov

One of the best trips we have had and we camp a lot. Loved the site. It was a quite site, very relaxing and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The campground is well maintain. There is trail next to river which is a very enjoyable walk. It's always quite and peaceful there. A good place to kick back and relax.

My son and I went hiking through the Pisgah Forest (August 2022) starting out on the North Slope trail which has access inside the Davidson River camp- connecting to Art Loeb to get to the top of the mountain. We were chased back down by thunder and lightning but for what we did see it was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful little bridges placed here and there to help hikers over steeper areas with running water. Also plenty of fallen logs over the trail with the tops carefully cut away and scored to ensure hiking boots dont slip when stepping over. The trails were so well maintained that at one point I even told my son while hiking that - I hope Im not jinxing it but - I didnt see one single piece of litter the entire hike and we were out there for three hours.Davison River staff was great. Bathrooms were sketchy- lots of millipedes and other bugs crawling everywhere- especially the shower. Unfortunately- the bathouse lights shone very brightly out onto campers all night instead of being more efficient and contained within the bathhouse. Need some attention there. Also lot five was not shady at all and had no trail to the river- would not stay in that one again. Great environment for family and Brevard is the perfect small town next door.

Hate the reservation system. Why should I pay $8 to do all the work myself? I like the manager a lot! Hes very accommodating. You absolutely need to rethink your reservation system. Not thought out well at all.

Nice winter camping experience with snow. Warm and well-maintained restrooms were a plus. Anxious to check it out in the spring

Beautiful forested area. The town of Brevard is nice. The campground is clean and well maintained but the sites are a little close together in an open field surrounded by woods. Not my favorite kind of campground but I would stay again.

Awesome trip to the area!! So many trails to bike and hike; so many waterfalls to enjoy; so many breweries to enjoy.
Brevard is a slice of paradise!!

I love davidson river campground but it was very disappointing to see all the debris from the trees that were taken down just left laying in the campground. It takes away from its beauty.

There was a lot of wood and cutting debris around the campsites. The equipment at the RV dump station was broken. However, there was no trash. Overall, it seemed the facilities were old but clean.

We loved the campground and would definitely come back! Our only complaint were the showers in the bath house. The water wasn't warm enough for a shower.

First time camping here I was really surprised by how many sites they had. We had a electric site for our class c. The sites were pretty well spaced apart. There were some very good tent sites more in the woods. There was a nice path along the river to the swimming spot which looked inviting. The campground was only a couple of miles to shopping and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
