Great location central to so many of the area's wonders from DuPont state forest waterfall trails, Sliding Rock, the fishery, Cradle of the Forest up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and beyond.Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Very nicely maintained though the shower stalls have begun to "show their age".Nearby Brevard has all the conveniences for camper's needs, plus the smaller town feel.

We love Davidson! The campsites are spaced out well so that you do not feel crowded, and most are very shaded keeping tents cooler! We love the proximity to Brevard and stores while also feeling like you are truly out in the middle of nowhere. Phone service is spotty, but again, thats something we love!

It is so hard to get reservations at davidson river campground because all the sites get reserved but every time I go there half the campers don't show up.

The park is beautiful, the surrounding trails amazing, both hike or bike. Enjoyed Palm Sunday service at the peaceful English Chapel. Gate staff was so friendly. An extra shout out to NICOLE for help maneuvering the reservation system for a site change with patience. Her words, youre as important as the next person will stay with me always.

Nice campground, great area for hiking fishing touring. Bathrooms were funky with only one toilet servicing the loop. Nice town nearby with short ride to the arts in Asheville

Great campground! This particular site didn't have as many trees as we would have liked (for hanging a tarp) but was quiet and comfortable.

Beautiful campground although the bath houses need to be cleaned more frequently. Seam in the river, lots of hiking and amazing waterfalls. Went tubing on the French Broad to end the week.

Bathrooms were clean, campgrounds were clean, and most importantly... people were very quiet at night. Wasnt sure about our campsite at first because we felt a little exposed, but only one site could see us and they arrived late and we left the next morning. Worked out! Will always come back.

Campsites adequately spaced, well maintained, bathrooms very clean- nice to walk along the river and small beach at rivers end. Lovely area to explore with beautiful waterfalls in DuPont forest and easy access to the parkway. Great location and will return.

Beautiful area to camp in. We were there for the mountain bike race. I managed to get one of the sites that have electricity, which helped me a lot. I camped in a 30 foot fifth wheel, but had no problems getting in and out of the park. I got to see some of the white squirrels that this area is known for. Only disadvantage to the campground is the lack of cell coverage as you get farther back away from the entrance of the park. I was midway back and I was still able to use cell if I held it high. The town of Brevard has everything you might need: good restaurants, markets, and specialty shops.
