Bathrooms and showers need work. It was otherwise a nice stay.

Lovely, quiet site. Just a little occasional noise from a road down the hill. Friendly people at the gatehouse, camp hosts coming around in golf carts, very well-maintained campground and I felt very safe as a woman camping alone. There was a black bear alert while I was there, but I took precautions (locking up food in my car) and had no trouble. The path to the bathhouse from this site is across the small one-way loop road and just a little tricky, I suggest finding the way there and back first in daylight or you might end up cutting through someone else's campsite, ask me how I know :) I was pleased to find that I had two bars of cell service with Verizon. I agree with other that the showers have low water pressure and you have to stand very near the wall to use them, but I found it manageable. Bathhouse was clean and water was warm. Excellent camping experience, only 20 minutes from my appointment the next morning in Asheville, I'll be back!

One of the best campgrounds we've stayed at! Bathrooms/showers were clean and convenient. Lots of hiking, fishing, and swimming opportunities in the area. This is arguably the best site at the campground - very spacious, private, and with a great view.

Wonderful spot, calm and quiet. Close to several trails both for hiking and mountain biking.

Great place to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest. Our site was one of the nicest camping sites we’ve ever set up in! The bathrooms were clean and had showers, but there’s not enough facilities for the amount of sites. Only 2 unisex shower stalls for the entire loop! There are bears, so stow your food!

Lovely campground, close to town but feels very remote. The campsites are nicely equipped with picnic tables, fire pits, and well-maintained gravel pads, with easy access to potable water and bathhouses with hot showers! We will be back for sure!

Gorgeous place. It's quiet and peaceful if you're not near someone using a generator. Not sure when the bathrooms will be operable. At least the porta-potties were kept nice and clean. They actually kind of smelled like pumpkin spice lattes! Haha!
absolutely pristine camp sites, clean showers and bathrooms

Clean shower and bathroom, water output convenient. So well maintained and friendly. Will buy footprint for tent, campsite has gravel. Did not have to worry about other campers as the sites are spaced out. We had kids and they wake up at the crack of dawn but did not feel like we were disturbing others.
