This is for site 53 only. We stay at Lake Powhatten 6-8 times a year. It's a tough backin for larger rigs. We have a 40ft. 5th wheel and it was slightly challenging. I am an experienced with backing into to tough areas. Not a skill issue. The site was quite overgrown which limited the usable space. As always there is no data and very limited cell service. Otherwise same as usual. Great trails. great place.

The sites were amazingly wooded and private! It was one of the more secluded sites I have ever stayed in. Its super close to Asheville while being totally in nature. Highly recommend and would stay again!!

Lake Powhatan is our Happy Place! We camp here every year. The campground is so beautiful, wooded, shady and quiet. We love the access to unlimited hiking trails and its close proximity to Asheville for restaurants and microbreweries. The staff is always so nice and accommodating!

We really enjoyed this campground. Friendly helpful staff, quiet, well maintained and clean. Good fishing. Lots of hiking trails. Only complaint was a lack of trail maps.

Love this campground - have come here several times. Wry convenient to NC Arboretum and BRP plus other Ashville attractions.

The campground is well managed. The restrooms are clean, the people are friendly and helpful. Cell service (Verizon) was spotty, but there was a "cell service area" in the campground that seemed to get a better signal most of the time. Our site was relatively level (site 53), but somewhat difficult to back our rig in to as the angle of the drive, and the edge of the road, made turning and maneuvering somewhat challenging (and we're not novice campers).

Beautiful campground! We were at site 53 Lakeside which was a private, spacious and level site that was a quick walk to the lake. The campgrounds proximity to Asheville made it convenient yet enabled us to stay in a peaceful and natural setting that felt more remote. I did get some spotty service on AT&T. Highly recommend!!

It was a great experience. We traveled here from Florida during the winter time for a quick trip so our kids could see snow. The facilities were clean and it was a quiet stay. We even had mechanical issues and had to over stay our welcome, but the management understood and allowed us to stay long enough to get our camper back on the road. All in all, I would highly recommend.

We camped in site 53 for one last trip of 2022. We enjoyed hiking close by on trails above the lake and to the NC Arboretum. Also did some Christmas shopping in Asheville. The Moose Cafe and Rockys Hot Chicken Shack both had great food! We have already booked another trip on the one buddy site in June 2023 and plan to bring our e-bikes to ride the forest service roads.

Site 53 was very private and peaceful n a shady wooded area. The restrooms needed to be clean and the trail to the lake was not marked very well and no distance provided. The attendants and the gate were not helpful or knowledgeable. Great location as it is extremely close to Asheville and enjoyed the hikes and trails to various waterfalls in the area

Huge sites, nice bath house. Didn't stay very long as we were traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway -- pulled in late afternoon and hit the road the next morning. However, we do plan to go back at some point because we liked what we saw.

Awesome campground, lots of shade, full hookups available, great scenery, close to parkway, arboretum, and Asheville. HOWEVER need better cell signal. Virtually no OTA TV and no cell signal to hotspot.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds to stay at. The park is great and close to town to enjoy some Asheville too.
