Overall we love this campground and the nearby trail and gravel road network. Our only complaint is the water pressure in the showers on Hard Times loop is very, very poor so consider that when booking your sites.

Terrific location and friendly, outgoing staff. Perhaps the quietest quiet Ive ever heard. Only issue was internet access, which was nonexistent at my site, but hardly the camps fault. Overall an incredible experience!

The womyn at the kiosk were so very helpful and friendly - and spent close to an hour of their time helping me figure out how to extend my reservation! The presence of beginning fall was very fun and exciting to experience here! I'll return!

This is our favorite camping place in NC. So many hiking and biking trails in any one location. The campsites are spacious and the keep the bathroom facilities clean. We camp here twice a year.

We love Lake Powhatan! Its one of our favorite places to go. I wish the lantern poles were behind the fire pit so you could see while youre sitting around the fire.

We love Lake Powhatan and go as often as we can. Its quiet, clean and close to town if you need something. Were going again in about a week.

Nice, large campsites. Close to groceries, restaurants, breweries, arboretum, etc. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. Great place to camp in Asheville.

We had a great time! The camp hosts were friendly and the bathrooms and showers were very clean. The setting is shady and gorgeous. There is plenty to do on site with fishing, swimming, biking, and hiking.
