Campground offers a serene and scenic environment perfect for a relaxing getaway. The campsites are spacious and well-maintained, providing ample privacy. However, the bathrooms leave something to be desired, with only two single bathrooms available for the whole area, broken showers, and just one working sink. Despite these limitations, the overall experience is enjoyable, especially for those who appreciate a natural, rustic setting

This is our favorite site when camping in a tent as it has electric for our Cpap machines. We were crazy and tented in winter but found it enjoyable. Campgrounds have recovered from Hurricane Helene. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Highly recommend!

Lake Powhatan is one of my fave places to camp! The sites and bathroom/facilities are always well-kept and clean. And the showers bathrooms are heated, which is great because they are open all year. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I love that there's some amount of woods between each site so it doesn't feel like they are on top of each other. There are lots of hiking trails around, but the campground is nice to walk around, too. It'll be my go-to place for this area!

Tent camping is mediocre at best. The staff works hard, the sites become mud pits in the rain.

Really enjoy this campground. It's close to town but still feels like a world of its own. We were there in February so the campsite was pretty empty which was nice. Love that you can access the trails from the campsite. Campsite was great, flat, spacious, clean, and hook up was great. Wish the bathroom was closer but this was a minor thing. Overall really great stay!

Quiet and secluded yet only 15 mins from all that is happening in Asheville. Big sites with plenty of privacy.

Great location for hiking, clean restrooms, and the NICEST staff of any campground that we go to. Outgoing, friendly, courteous, energetic. We've been coming here for years and it just keeps getting better....wish you'd ditch the yurts and and power to more of the sites though. There's only one loop with a bunch of power sites. I don't really need water/sewer but electricity is great to have.

Showers are a major issue. One shower on my loop was a sweat box, the other cold. Both showers have insanely BAD water pressure, with the water getting 4-5 inches away from the wall. I use a plastic gallon sized water/ice tea container to collect water and pour over my head, not the ideal shower situation.I stayed on Site 35 for the second time. After the first stay I complained to the staff that gravel is needed to eliminate the mud pit that is created by heavy rains, its still a mud pit.

Beautiful wooded sites. Beach area was nice but quite a walk with coolers etc. If you have issues walking may not be acceptable.

Nice campground located near Asheville North Carolina. The lake is nice but small and down a long flight of stairs to access. The camp sites were spacious and contain a variety of services.

Lovely campground, very nicely laid out, spacious and beautiful sites. The one thing to keep in mind is that cell service, and therefore hotspot Wi-Fi, is pretty much nonexistent. But that makes part of why Lake Powhatan is such a wonderful getaway! Very friendly and helpful staff

Love this campground have so much fun there. The bears are terrible & no one seems to enforces the rules. We had someone leave a cooler out that the bears got in. They moved the campers to another loop. The rest of us had to deal with bears coming in everyday. Thought you would be removed.

We were originally booked at lakeside site 43 and it was cancelled by you. We rebooked for site 35 in Bent Creek loop. I called to inquire the reason for the cancellation of site 43 and no one called me back. I found this to be rude, We booked 43 to be close to family and to have full hookups. We enjoy this park but wish the management company was more responsive.
