Personnel at the gate are very friendly and helpful. I love thats its super natural and quiet, even the beach area. Selling firewood and ice at the campsite was so convenient! Only took off 1 star since the water never really got warm or hot in the showers.

This is a great campsite not too far from Asheville. Lots of hiking trails available and Bent Creek is an absolute mountain biking mecca! Right next to the Arboretum and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Campsite was clean and so were the restrooms. Only wish they had more parking closer to the lake for those who want to fish. When I tried to go all of the spaces were taken.

This was a great area! Stayed four nights, hot showers, and fairly private camping spots, and the staff was super friendly! Would definitely stay again in the future!

Lake Powhatan was an amazing stay! The staff was super friendly, with clean showers and bathrooms, private campsites, and endless amenities. The only complaint was the showers had extremely low water pressure so it was somewhat difficult to shower, but that is SO minor. We hiked Mount. Mitchel and the smell of Balsams at the top will forever linger in our memory of this trip. We also brewery hopped in Asheville. All in all a great experience and would love to come for a longer stay in the future.

Camped at site 6A and was a cozy smaller site, but close enough to the bathrooms and was perfect for me and my friend. This is my second time camping at the campground and love the abundance of hiking trails around. I will be back. Bathrooms and campsites were very clean and well maintained. Staff kind and friendly.

Bent Creek is a beautiful spot for camping and outdoor recreation. Unfortunately, my experiences here have gone downhill since management was handed to the third-party Pisgah Hospitality Partners. We were unable to find anyone to assist us with check-in, buying firewood, etc. Facilities were a mess and campground host did not open door when we knocked for assistance. The only times we interacted with the hosts or observed other guests interactions', the conversations were terse and unhelpful. We were unable to purchase firewood or have basic questions answered by hosts throughout our three-day visit.

The trails around the area were great! I wish I had a bike I could have rode because it was an awesome area to ride and see.

What a perfect little first-camping trip for my 5 year old! Bathrooms/showers were well maintained, ground was quiet, and we enjoyed being able to park at the lake. Be ready for bears! They warned us at check in, and we spotted a little yearling trying to get into cars in the parking lot by the lake that afternoon. Staff was on top of it though, and came around in the golf cart to investigate right after we spotted it. All in all great trip!
