When hiking, be mindful of speeding cyclists coming down the trail.
As first time visitors, who arrived late at night, the signage was rather poor. This campground is located a bit "off the beaten path" and your really have to look out for the small, dark signs. Once you are in the campground, the signs for loops and facilities are poor to non existent.
Again, we arrived late, after a 10 hour drive, and wanted to top off with water as we had a "boondocking" site. Ok, where is the dump/water station? Who knows?? No signs at all. We had to stop at a sign board to find it and this is a pretty good sized campground to drive around in at 10 o'clock at night. When we got to the dump/water station...no hoses at all and the water was not turned on! We could not onboard any water from the potable water source. Yes, it is fall but the water was turned on in the camper loops?? We had to stop at a spigot in the loop, get out our hose and fill up. When we left, at noon four days later, there was still no water there.
Other than those things this was a great site and we enjoyed our stay immensely and certainly plan to return. Now that we know the layout of the place the signage will not be as big of an issue. Nest time we will get a "full hook up" site too.
You might want to familiarize yourself with a map of the campground before you arrive and, if you are coming in fall or winter, keep a hose handy when you arrive if you do not have a full hook up site.
