Host was really nice! Space was well maintained, showers were nice! Family friendly campground with awesome people. They also have wood onsite that you can buy for $10!

Clean and well-maintained recreational area. The process of reserving a space was so easy and the maps and photos helped to determine which site would be fit my needs.

I had an amazing experience staying at this camp ground for a long weekend. The check-in / check out process is very seamless and all the folks at the gate were extremely friendly. We stayed at the Non-Electric tent spot which was had a nice tree shade. The campground was very peaceful, clean and well maintained. The tent site was also very clean. While booking the site, we were unaware of the presence of showers on site so we carried our portable showers. Later found out, this campground has possibly one of the cleanest restrooms and showers. The hot water showers were such a relief on a muggy day. I would highly recommend this campground. I am definitely a repeat visitor.

Overall, my fiance and I had a lovely time at Lake Powhatan. You cant beat the proximity to Asheville, the scenery is beautiful, and the facilities are great for the most part.

Very efficient check in and nice, clean and well maintained facitility. Good hiking, mountain biking and close to Asheville for a night on the town.

Site was great, and amenities were good. Clean restrooms. Only thing I noticed, that I wasnt fond of, is the speed at which vehicles travel through the loops. Too many were going well over the posted speed limit, and with many campers walking along the loops, this is extremely dangerous.

Great little campground. Great location. Decent amenities. The only downside was the slant of the parking at tent sites. We wanted secluded which we got but had we known you needed an rv site to not sleep at a 45° angle, we would have booked differently.

The place was very clean&staff were very helpfull, they even let me check in couple hrs early. I was a hike in so that helped alot. The trails surounding the place could use informative markers though

The park itself is a gem. The host - there is nothing gracious or positive about him, the older man with glasses. He is EXTREMELY rude, threatening, and harassing to campers. Wearing no mask, he got within inches of my face spewing his angry nonsense. He is an obnoxious tyrant.

Only challenge is that in the social distancing environment and no staffing, they REALLY NEED A MAP TO THE CAMPSITES when you arrive in the dark and there is no Internet service. Lovely place otherwise.
