This is a beautiful, well maintained campground with tons of trails and scenery to explore.

Powhatan is a favorite campground for me because the maintenance of the sites and bathrooms is excellent. Rangers and camp hosts are readily available, and rangers periodically ride around the sites to make sure everything is okay and to answer any questions.

A beautiful park with full hook up RV sites. Very close proximity to the NC Arboretum (right next door)! Bathrooms & showers are well-maintained. Hiking/biking trails are very good. My only complaint is that kayaks are not allowed on the lake.

The campground has different loops. We stayed in campground . This was a full hookup so I was great for our week stay as we didnt have to move to dump our tanks. There is a bathhouse in each loop and we took numerous showers there. The set up is there are two shower rooms and the another two sink and toilet rooms. So you can take a shower in privacy and not have to worry about someone else coming in. Very clean and spacious. The lake is nice but the beach area is very rocky. They need to add sand to make it more usable. Lots and lots of trailers for hiking and bike riding. Many locals are there using the trails. The WiFi with ATT was one to two bars, enough to be able to stream with a booster. To many trees for not been able to use the Starlink connection

Bathrooms and showers very nice and warm in cold weather. Bike trails are fun but better signage and maps would be helpful.Enjoyed trolley tour in Ashville. Biltmore is great but expensive!

Wonderful! Beautiful campground with well spaced sites. Excellent location near the blue ridge parkway. Biked to the NC Arboretum.

No staff at entrance when we pulled but sign instructed those with reservations to go to their site. Staff person stopped at site later to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. He was quite attentive. Facilities all neat and clean. It's a beautiful and peaceful campground.

This is a great campground! I love that we had full hook-up for our travel travel and LOTS of privacy. The restrooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. Coming in the off-season was especially nice because everything was quiet. At this campground, you are enjoying the beautiful mountain woods, while still being close to all the amenities that Asheville offers. We will definitely return!

Sites well spaced. Warm showers with lots of hooks and heat in the room. Clean bathrooms. Great trails. Very close to Asheville. Just wished you offered recycling.

Our second visit to Lake Powhatan in the fall. Wonderful colors, beautiful nature scenes and a very quiet time on the Bent Creek Loop. So easy to get to Asheville. On a rainy day the Outlet Mall is just down the road. Dont miss lunch at Grove Point Inn - Amazing historical location you dont want to miss!
