Stayed at Site # 7 for 4 nights. We had NO complaints or issues with the campground or area. Glad to see that it's still possible to get down to the river, always enjoy walking the trails. Havelock, the free ferry across the river, and New Bern are all very close and worthwhile trips. We've stayed at this campground several times and look forward to our next time there.

We have been here multiple times - this was not our first time. But the burn ban was pretty dissapointing to learn about - but iit was too late to cancel reservations. Secondly, the shower house water needs to be fixed -it was scalding hot and then turned cold in about 5 minutes. Plus the water flooded almost out of the shower room. Lastly they need to repair a path to the beach access.

This was our 4th visit to Flanner's Beach Campground. It is a wonderful old campground. The camp hosts maintain it very well, are helpful and unobtrusive. The facilities are a bit dated but clean and serviceable. We'll be coming back again.

Ive visited over 400 campgrounds in 47 states. This is my favorite NC campground, and in my Top 10 nationwide. Hosts, Kristen & Clare, keep the campground well-maintained, mowed, clean and quiet. The clean, modern, bath house has hot showers. This is a nature lovers paradise with miles of trails right off the back of most sites. And the evenings are quiet, filled only with the sounds of crickets and owls.

The privacy at Flanners is perfect. It was a great stay to escape the hustle & bustle of the real world. The host family is awesome & very accommodating.

This has quickly become our favorite campground. Fantastic hosts, Jackie & Dennis, ensure a peaceful, quiet and relaxing environment. The forest is beautiful, with trail access directly out the back of most sites. The campground is clean and well maintained. Hot showers. Dump and potable water. 5 Stars!

Neat. Clean. Under good repair. Camp host runs a good ship. Down side. Beach still closed after 3 years since hurricane. Why so long?

Sites are maintained. Bathrooms clean and stocked. Hike/bike trail is very nice. Beach is still closed after 3 years. No trespass signs are posted everywhere and should be used on national forest land. Part of the appeal for Flanners beach is the "beach". Gate to the campground is kept closed so you have to get out of your vehicle to open every time you come and go. Maybe to decrease traffic? Nice otherwise.

We enjoyed our two night stay. Bobby the camp host was very nice and helpful. It was very cold those nights but we were comfortable. The bath house was clean and warm. Everything went well.

The bathhouse was clean. The campground is nice. The gate had to be closed at all times even during the day making it inconvenient.
