The new campground hosts, Gilbert and Roxanne have really made the campground looking nice again keeping the grass cut and tree branches trimmed that were hitting the tops of campers.

Site was ok, no complaints. Bathrooms were adequate but dated and grimy with lots of spiders, insects, and frogs. We spend almost all our camping time at public lands so they werent the worst weve seen but definitely towards the bottom of the list. Showers are behind locking doors so extra points for that.

We were here for just one night (travel waypoint) but put it on our list of places to potentially visit longer term. Bathrooms and showers were nice (upgraded).

This is a very nice modern campground. There are many beautiful water front trails in the marsh lands, and places to launch kayaks. I did not like the bathhouse showers, they should be better equipped to accommodate disabled people. The host was very friendly and I enjoyed talking with him.

Nice location. Close to Tidewater Trail. Also shopping and Emerald Isle resort area only 10 min away. Full electric service up to 50 amp to each RV site. Not clear from reservation website that water not provided to individual RV sites. Common potable water station only.Common bath facilities womens restroom unusable due to clogged toilet and consequent flooding. Showers and mens facilities in good working order however.

Site was relatively close to showers/rest rooms and had electric hookup only (latter part true for all sites here). Water and dump stations close to entrance. We used phone hot spot to stream Netflix (roughing it!). The campground is close (~200 yds) from trailhead and boat ramp. Nice trail through woods and on boardwalks over estuary.

The campground was clean and spacious.Unfortunately all the parts to all the area water hydrants had been removed making it very difficult to properly use them. Park staff suggested we go to the hardware store and purchase our own parts to adapt to the faucets. We made three trips and never did find the proper fit but did finally find something to get us by so we could get water in our holding tank. Not exactly how we had planned to spend our entire first afternoon. Our site was also infested with fire ants. Otherwise it was all good.

Campground was nice and quiet. However, we werent warned until we got there that we would be locked into the campground from 10pm-6am. The one host is a very rude lady. We added 2 more nights to our stay, I had spoke to the other 2 hosts about it and paid the fees and the lady had a huge issue with it and made it a big deal over my car being in the site while my husband was filling the camper with water across the st. I would have stayed longer as that site we moved to had 2 weeks of availability but that encounter made us feel extremely unwelcome. The couple on the main host site were very nice and helpful and helped me with adding 2 nights to my stay, when they didnt have to because they were off duty.

I loved the sites and the fact the campground is located next to alot of activities. The campsites had good distance in between and a good amount of trees that offered nice shade. There is no water hookups or septic at the individual sites but there is a dump station near the entrance as well as a place to fill up potable water into your rv tanks.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
