The hosts are consistently cordial, helpful and friendly. The only thing I unexpectedly had to stay one extra night but could not reserve online same day. It created an issue for me due to I carry very little cash. I wish the process would allow same day online reserve/pay.

Just a wonderful campground this was my second time there the camp host are very attentive to the guest and the grounds. Just wonderful people. I love it that there is power on every campsite. Tried to get the campsite I had before but got one much closer to the restrooms and shower. Only complaint I have is the traffic noise from Highway 24 but I know there is not a lot that can be done about that.

The campground is usually quiet and peaceful. Very close to many restaurants and shopping. Both Swansboro and Emerald Isle are wonderful. Swansboro for shopping / restaurants and Emerald Isle for beach and other activities. Boating, fishing, kayaking are popular in the area. This facility however has started to neglect maintenance on their bathroom and shower facilities. Leaky toilets, no lock on shower door, metal rusted and sticking out on shower door and cleanliness. The camp host are very nice nice and helpful but repairs are NOT their job.

We arrived on a Sunday evening around 7 PM - to find our site occupied by vehicles of a large crowd of people gathering on the site next to us. We had to ask for these vehicles to be moved before we could occupy the site; and had to deal with more than 20 - 25 older adults who were gathered around OUR campsite's fire ring. When I asked about this to some of these individuals, I was told "There's more shade there." I reminded them that this fire ring was on MY campsite, and received insulting rants as a reply. The next morning, these same people were gathered less than 15 feet from the back of our RV, and had multiple people walking right past our bedroom windows because that was the most convenient path to the bathhouse. Again, asking for consideration and respect for our privacy resulted in being told "We've come here as a group every year for a long time, so just deal with it."I checked online for open sites, then walked the campground to check those out. Then approached the campground host and requested a move to another site away from this large group that was using our site as their gathering place. At first I was told that this was not allowed. I responded that either we would be allowed to move, or I would leave, request a refund, and post as many negative reviews as I could. I then received a begrudging approval to move. To have to deal with such insensitive and rude behavior ruined our trip. Add to that the repeatedly noted problem with no temperature control over the water in the showers and we pretty much decided we won't ever come back to this campground.

What a great little campground! Very quiet and lots of shade. We never even made it to the beach, as we were enjoying the company of good friends around a campfire. We are local to the area, but friends always stay with their rv when passing thru. This year we decided to join them, along with a few other friends. Bath house clean. Till next year!

Entire campground was well kept and clean. Bath house, while dated, was in good repair and kept spotlessly clean. My only complaint, if it could be called such, is that the timed, push-button showers are a real pain! And besides other campers leaving their bright led lights on all night to be rude and intrusive light pollution, we had a wonderful stay at Cedar Point; so much so that we've already reserved the same campsite this coming spring.

Daytime high temperature was in the 60's and the showers were not heated nor was there hot water in the restroom although that was heated. Good location for sightseeing and the area was bicycle friendly.

Nice bathrooms, nice park, need more space for tints since we are relegated to the gravel and all that nice grassey areas. Very nice and quiet at night.

We had a wonderful two day stay. The camp hosts greeted us and answered all out questions. The only downside was that to fill the potable water it was necessary to wait behind campers dumping their tanks. We were in what was previously a "buddy" site so we were pretty close to our neighbors -- We'll be sure to pick another site next time and be aware of the buddy sites when we aren't camping with a buddy. The placards along both the long and short marsh trails are unreadable - we wish that we could have read them.

Our time at Cedar Point was enjoyable. The only things that I thought could make the campground more enjoyable is a upgrade of the bathroom and shower facilities. A tree right behind #36 needs to be cut because it is dead and site #35 needs some tree limbs trimmed because they drag the top and sides of an RV when being parked in that site. It is a nice campground and we enjoy coming there every year.

Campground was a little confusing to find our site. Once we got there, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The showers were a little odd as you had to keep pushing the button to keep them going. The campground was beautiful, quiet and in a fabulous location. We kayaked on the trail, hiked and drove over to Emerald Isle for the afternoon. A great experience.
