Nice campground close to the island. Plenty of shade. Feel for the host, she needs a 2nd host for it to be properly maintained, way to much for 1 person. Showers needs maintenance and more regular cleaning. Should have water at the sites.

We wanted to "head to the beach" and the Cedar Point Campground seemed like the right place to stay. I reserved site A-23 and it provided plenty of space between our 25' motorhome and the other RVs in the park. While the campground only provides electricity there are plenty of water spickets around if you need them. There is a dump station and a potable water station near the exit from the park. I'd give the bathhouse a 4-star rating. The bathrooms were large and clean but the shower rooms needed some cobweb removal, so not a big deal. The showers themselves were very nice. Good water pressure and spray. To use the showers, you had to push the "on" button to turn the water on and it would last for maybe 30 seconds, sort of like a Navy shower. But a quick push of the button turned the water back on.As for location, we were about 15 minutes to Emerald Isle Beach and even in early November we had temps in the low 70s so we sat on the beach watching the waves and surfers. There is also a short (1.9 mile) walking trail along the shore at the end of the road just 1/10 of a mile past the campground. It's a nice walk with some really great views of the surrounding waterways. One tip is to stop and buy your firewood in the local area because there is no firewood available at the campground. As for restaurants, we had dinner at T&W Oyster Bar and Restaurant. It's a low key, friendly kind of place with good food and a great staff. We will definitely go back in the spring before the summer beach crowds arrive.

Very nice campground close to main beaches and fishing. Only improvement recommended is to fix the broken water faucets in the campground since there are no sites with water.

The lady who was one of the camp hosts kindly helped me with the electrical hookup. Toilets and showers were clean. The sites are nicely spread out. Nights are quiet. It was my second visit to this campsite. I’ll go back if I can. Thank you for this campsite its close to the beaches. Affordable and that’s a blessing with high inflation and hotels 200 a night !!

Large campsites well separated. Ground’s nicely maintained

I really like this campground and only find one fault - it has communal water. We came prepared for that by bringing extra hoses so we could fill our tank while in our site since there was a hydrant across the driveway from us. However the hydrant was broken and so there was no water without hooking back up and driving around to find another hydrant. We elected not to do this since we were going to be away most of the day most days we were there. We walked to fill containers with water from another hydrant to meet our needs. I would definitely come back here and plan to do so next Spring.

Nice sites, nice showers. It would have been nice if many of the water hydrants had not been shut off (due to leak). Good base to kayak or hike in the area.

Top two attributes for this campground are: location and quiet. Quick access to Emerald Isle and excellent beaches, along with Hammock Beach State Park with some nice trails and ferry to Bear Island, as well as great kayak routes. There's also a ramp just down the road for canoe and kayak put-in, and a decent walking trail. Pine Knoll Aquarium is 30 minutes away; fun for the kids. And the site is VERY quiet. For those with kids, plenty of open area in the central sites for them to play. Bath house could use some attention - I know it's early in the season, but there was no hot water in the bathrooms and showers were cool, not warm or hot. One stall in the men's room (of two), has issues, with a sign indicating it must be flushed multiple times. There is only one dumpster on-site, no trash cans, so when it's full (as it was), that can be frustrating. Our fire ring was full of ash and debris on arrival. Basically, a little attention to detail and maintenance would move this up to 4-5 stars.

Great location. Host we're good. Grounds looked great. Could use an upgrade in power. 50 Amp had some issues.

Great level sites with space galore! This is a hidden gem! Only thing that could make it any better is full hook ups!

Very clean campground with great hosts. Sites are very spread out and close to hiking trails. Would definitely recommend.
