We have camped at many of your campgrounds. The bathhouse by far was the worst, statement “ State the art” should be taken out. The worst part is there is NO ventilation
Don’t miss T&W seafood restaurant about 4 miles away.
You are near edge of marsh and there is a
super walking/biking trail thru marsh with bridges across marsh and water. You can watch blue crab scurry around from the bridges. Lots of quiet seating areas along marsh trails.
You feel like you are deep in the woods, but are near lots of amenities.
Site 16 was great in Oct 2020, site 1 was great in Nov 2020, and site 11 was great in December 2020. There are really no bad sites. Fill up with water before you park. The dump station is an easy pull thru at end of your trip.
Sites are very flat, very level and most are long sites 50’ to 70’
One of the cleanest and well kept campgrounds we visited in 2020.
For AMAZING CLAM CHOWDER......get take out at Swansboro Food and Beverage.
For DELICIOUS OYSTERS , fresh from local waters.......call Bekah Bay Oyster Company. They will deliver to your campsite. You can roast them over the fire like we did.
Best grocery store in area (and closest) is Lowe’s Foods.
