The sites were well spaced, level, and wooded. The bathhouses and grounds were very clean despite their age. The campground overall was peaceful and quiet. The trails in the national forest were stunning. Would highly recommend this campground.

Love this campground. Had 2 weeks reserved but I got sick and needed to leave to have tests done at hospital. Tried to cancel 2nd week but no one returned my call. Camp host should be able to cancel reservations if nobody wants to return calls. Camp host was nice and tried to help but she couldnt cancel reservation. Next time I will reserve 2 weeks separately.

Great campground for the price! Bath houses are a little outdated, but ok for the most part. We will definitely stay again!

Nice camp site! Store not far. Some sites in open, no privacy. Big sites. Concrete pad

The campground was very well-kept. I have camped there several times in the past where the restrooms weren’t that clean or the showers. I can’t remember her name but the host at campsite 13 she kept their restrooms clean and well stocked and she pressure washed the showers and was painting them while I was there! She worked the hardest of any host I’ve seen at the campground by far. This is my favorite campground of all the places that I’ve camped out.

Good location for the Emerald Isle. Very spacious sites. Clean toilets and showers. Easy check in. Great Tidelands trail close to the campground for watching wildlife.

It was quiet and roomy. The most interesting thing was the Marines firing off their big guns. At times everything rattled. I loved it and then gradually stopped really noticing it. No water hookups so be prepared to fill your fresh water tank. I will definitely be back. Just 3-5 miles from the pier on the beach!!!!!
