The host staff are Fabulous, 5 stars! However the facility itself is so need of work.Doors on showers/toilets are way past use.The host staff does NOT have simple tools/equipment to maintain the facility. Some sort of cart buggy 4by4 gator to use to load debris or to disperse travels etc.And most important the power pedestals and electric power to RV's should be inspected. I had site 4 that had 111 volts one leg and 130 volts the other. My RV would could not use this voltage issue. 130 volts can be a safty issue. 111 volts will NOT run equipment, AC nor heater. Site 11 has issues. TIME TO UP GRADE THE POWER OUTPUTS! PERIOD.Luckily for me I was able to move otherwise I could not get refund(didn't want refund if I could even get it, I wanted to camp!) Again thumbs up to the Hosts for there help.Get those folks some transportation and items to upkeep the grounds.Great place!

We stayed at the campground from Charleston on our way to Nags Head. We spent 5 nights here. The marsh trail was beautiful but mosquitoes were plentiful. The showers were not very clean but functional. Only saw the host once outside their camper. No rangers were present. Sites are far apart and most are plenty long for big rigs. Potable water is available through out the campground and electricity was available at our site (4).

The campground is very well maintained and the camp hosts are friendly. The spots are spacious and nice and are able to fit a 45' 5th wheel. You are very close to Emerald Isle where there is plenty to do there. We did ride our bikes from the campground to Emerald Isle and it does say "bike friendly" but be cautious because you are riding with a lot of vehicle traffic and going over the big bridge with traffic. We will come back and stay here again to explore more.

Sites are well spaced. This time of year in the late fall, the shower rooms need some heat.

Cedar Point is a well-designed campground, with plenty of space for privacy between most sites. Level pavement for the RV. We were on site 4, probably one of the more private sites. Bath house is clean and convenient. There are 2 campground hosts, who are friendly and helpful. Dump station and water easily accessible.Don't be alarmed by frequent ordnance testing (explosions that sound like construction blasting) and fighter jet and helicopter flyovers from the nearby Marine Corps bases. The adjacent natural area and trails are well worth a visit. Plenty to see, though very quiet in the late fall.

The campground was very clean and quiet, and our site, 004, was shaded and private. A perfect place for our stay!

Though it was too cold to paddle as we had planned our time was still full of fun and fellowship. We enjoyed the clean, grassy sites, and campfire pits. The walking nature trails were just that and enjoyed. Some of us went to nearby Swansboro to shop the many local shops to include a little grocer that is new since I'd been there. Some of the group went to Hammocks Park to hike. So many things to do within a short distance.

We have been NFS Hosts for 2 years in rural MT. Loved our campgrounds. If you haven't been to the very rural West you can't imagine our shock at the eastern NFS campgrounds. There is no comparison but this was a wonderful experience in a comment different way. Paved, level sites, completely groomed and running water and electricity. Holy smokes. If you are into"soft & sedate" camping you will love this place. I am crazy about rural CG's but don't get me wrong, we're will gladly return here also. Wonderful hosts BTW.

Water at the dump station was in disrepair. Had to cut on and off in the ground and it leaked. Only 2 of the water facuets in the loops worked. Lovely campground just needs some TLC.

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Cedar Point campground. It is not a large campground but the sites are themselves good-sized and well spaced throughout the area. All sites have electric hook-ups but water is available at non-threaded spigots dispersed around the campground or at the dump station (which is threaded). We liked that the campground was close to the water and that there was a small pier with a cartop boat launch area nearby. There is some bicycling in the area, with some bike paths on the island. The nearby nature trail was well-maintained and allowed easy access across the tidal salt marsh. We were surprised at how close it was to Emerald Isle and the amenities and recreational opportunities there. The bathrooms and shower areas are on the older side, but functional. With Covid and social distancing we didn't use them much. Supplies in the bathrooms was an issue when we did and the dumpster was overflowing. (The campground host was in transition when we were there and that might explain the condition of things.)

We liked the location and campground enough that we will keep it on our list.

Love this campground! Its quiet, campsites are large and paved. The only drawback is no water hookup at the sites but we just fill out water tanks when we get there and usually make it the weekend.
