Campsite had almost everything we needed. A shower on this side of the campsite and grills would make the site on this side of the road perfect. These site are a lot more spaced out and less people traffic than those on the river side.

Pretty to look at but could use some work. Road around park was noisy.

Bathrooms were clean, the heated bathrooms were a nice touch. Everyone was friendly. We had a great time.

I had a great time! It was a sweet campsite and I enjoyed the quieter wooded side of the campground. They have done a lot of work on public areas and campsites along the river after Hurricane Helene, and the river is still glorious and great for swimming and just appreciating the natural beauty of the area.

We visited in a 28' motorhome. The campground is not set up for motorhomes or even trailers of any length over 15'. The sites were not level and was very primitive. The CG should be more clear as to what the sites can provide to campers.Would not recommend to go there.

Nice and well maintained campground! Each employee involvement went well. The swimming hole, tubing, fishing are easily accessed. We enjoyed our stay there.

Water from water spigots around campsites, and water from bathroom sinks and showers REEKED with rust. It was so nasty to wash your hands and take a shower with that smelly water. I witnessed six campers bathing themselves with soap and shampoo in the river for this reason. All the pipes need to be replaced! This wasnt an issue when I camped here in Spring 2019. Also, the dumpster was 3 feet high with garbage so that the top bin door could not be closed and a lot of it spilled over on the street. It reeked badly within a 20 foot distance. I feel sorry for the bears that get shot digging thru garbage when its not even bear-proof! All the bathrooms were always filthy no matter what time of day you went in there and my campsite had a lot of litter on the ground when I checked in at 4 pm...but the fire pit was clean. This campground was well-maintained in the past five years Ive been here and this time around was a complete shock to me. I hope something will be done about it.

Staff was awesome. They welcomed us and were very flexible when I wanted to change my site. Beautiful spot and great place to camp while exploring the Black Mountains.
