The facility is well maintained, well kept. Our site and facilities utilized all found to be clean and at the ready for use, this included the showers/bathrooms. Staff member stopped by our site to ensure all was good. He did intro self, if I recall correctly his name was Gerry. He indeed made us feel welcomed! Thanks for such a great experience!!

We enjoyed our mini vacay at Clearwater Lake Recreation Area. We stayed for 4 nights, and we are absolutely in love with this park! From the time that we checked in to the time that we left, we were extremely happy from the park itself to the campground manager Jerry and his wife Terry along with the campground host, Joe. The park was exceptionally clean and well kept. The shower/bath house was very clean and the showers we warm. The swimming area was white sand beach like and a great place for kids of all ages. They offer canoe, paddleboard, and kayak rentals to explore the lake. The lake is spring fed, and the water is crystal clear. Our campsite was clean and well taken care of. If you havent been to Clearwater Lake even for day use, you should check it out. I cant express how accommodating and helpful the staff is! They really know how to make you feel welcomed!

First time at state campground. Site was so steep it required minimum 4 leveling blocks on the rear tires of our class b campervan. We only had 3 for each side so we were not level for the entire stay. Camp office said all sold out even though there were a large number of empty level sites we we not allowed to move into one. Reservation was made months in advance so I am not happy with the site I was given.

Overall our weekend at Clearwater lake was great, due in no small part to the rangers/hosts. Our experience started out a bit unnerving as the first thing we came upon was a very thick/low branch on the entrance to the park. With a bit of back and forth we were able to pass it without incidence, and again another low branch a bit further down the road. Once we checked in and were reassured that we would be able to get to our site we progressed without difficulty only to see that site 34, while gorgeous, was too sloped for us to stay in. We went back to the ranger station assuming we would be ending our weekend before it started. Once there we were informed that the campground was full except for the "emergency site." The ranger went out of her way to get us approval to stay there. Once there, the camp host made his way over to make sure we were OK with the site. It was equally lovely but not as private...oh well. The views were beautiful. Other than the low branches, only on the road in, the only negative was there were a lot of ticks. Unfortunately, we see that in Florida when the oak trees lose their leaves. Absolutely protect yourself and your pets.

We have been camping here for years. The campground is great. The online booking is not so great. Forced to pay for 3 nights even though we only stayed for 2, due to Monday being a Holiday (Columbus day?)

From start to finish I loved Clearwater Lake. I purchased some firewood and ice as I checked in. They then delivered it to my campsite. Talk about customer service. Lovely campground and lake. Plenty of hiking trails and a private boat launch area. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Site was as beautiful as we remembered and camp staff was great. The folks who came through to look in during the day were amazing (and big thanks for the rain update), as was the lady at the front desk who checked us all in. Love this location and happy to nake it an annual birthday tradition for my friends and I <3
