Very relaxing,The camp host were so helpful and the place was the cleanest we have camped at.The showers were awesome, hot water felt good in the cold weather. Everything was so handy and the campsites were very large. This place gets 5 stars from us.

The whole team at Clearwater lake is outstanding. Terri and Jerry are wonderful. They are always checking to make sure everything is ok. It's like they are old friends as soon as you meet them.

Have been visiting Clearwater Lake for 40 years. Always loved being able to check in any time day or night until that ended. NOT IMPRESSED with the current procedure where one MUST reserve in advance online and pay $8 reservation fee. SUGGESTION: One park I visit often, Sesquicentenial State park in SC, has a board at the entrance that states which site are available/ unreserved. Other government campsites I've visited have self registering systems where each reserved site has something marking the site reserved. My favorite was a federal park. They had two loops, one reservable loop and one first come.

Campground was fine with two exceptions - generator policy allowed our neighbor to run his generator from 8AM to 10PM continuously. Said he needed it for TV and A/C (even though the highs were in the 70's). How rude! The other issue was ticks! Never seen so many. We stayed 4 nights and pulled of a half-dozen ticks off each of us! Tiny ones!

Very peaceful campground with access to hiking and biking trails. Paved site. Dump station was modern. Will return. Host was very helpful.

We enjoyed camping at Clearwater Lake very much wish we could have stayed longer. The bath house was kept very clean but would have liked the shower seats a little larger and more hooks to hang your clothes while taking a shower. We look forward to camping again at Clearwater Lake Recreation Area campground. Thank you

We stayed for two nights at the campground in a Class A motorhome. Our site was positioned well and was in the circle of sites around the bath house. Although the site was in a good position, it was not really level. When we leveled it, the front tires were about 3 inches off the ground. The second night we were there, we moved the camper back on the parking pad a few feet. This was better, but 2 of the tires were still a couple inches off the ground. There are no electric or water hookups at this campground. We filled up the fresh water tank at the faucet at the entrance near the gate house. In the time since I made the reservation, my husband has been put on a CPAP machine, so the nights we were there, he wasn't able to use his machine. (Generators have to be turned off at 10:00.). We also didn't have good Verizon cell service. Overall, this wasn't our favorite campground during our trip. It also wasn't the worst.

The host who checked us in was very friendly. He told us there was a Dollar General down the road and recommended the Italian restaurant a couple miles away in Paisley. We ate there and it was very good. He also told us that the Circle K nearby was good for getting gas in a big rig, which was extremely helpful since it makes me a little nervous to take the motorhome with the tow car to get gas.

No power, me that going in...bit every spot is shaded. Not enough sun to power solar. Allows dogs by no place to let them run.
