Our site was huge! It was a 15 minute walk to the spring head and a 30 second walk to the bathrooms (don't make the same mistake we did and walk to the wrong bathroom). You could occasionally hear road noise when an obnoxiously loud vehicle drove by but it was nothing to keep you awake at night. Our site held 2 small tents with plenty of room and was fairly private. I will definitely be back.

Very nice campground. Restrooms were reasonably clean. Sites were tidy and spacious. Campers have to walk from their campsite to the spring, not allowed to park in the lot next to the spring. For us, that was almost a mile round trip. The forest itself did have litter strewn about and there was a lot of ORV trails that were deeply rutted and chewed up. We went to Eaton Lake to see the sinkhole, which was said to be open on your website, but it was definitely closed due to health and safety reasons. Also, the restroom there was shot full of holes both inside and out making it unusable. The road to it was deeply rutted from ORV traffic. We left because we did not feel safe there.

My husband and I visited here to hike and kayak. The waterway was beautiful. The hiking was not. The concessioner which is Ocala adventure refuses to maintain the boardwalks at Alexander Springs and Juniper Springs. Why does the county, state, and national park system put up with this? The staff is very friendly but we had to request the doors to the showers be unlocked. The door to the dish cleaning area was never unlocked for our stay. Where do they expect you to put the grey water?

Always a wonderful experience to come back to the sites and enjoy the area! Grounds keepers and team really take pride in Alexander Springs safety and cleanliness!

The new manager is trying too hard to exert her authority. It may make the place easier to administer in the short run, but it doesn't enhance the customer experience. They seem to think that the purpose of the National Parks is to provide"business opportunities" .

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
