A wonderfully clean campground in a tropical setting. Really enjoyed being able to walk to the springs for swimming.

We appreciate the nice sites and the space and foliage between campsites Rangers/personnel at the gate and as we met them here and there on the grounds were welcoming, very informative and gracious. Bathrooms did not meet cleanliness standards we came to expect from other years, unfortunatley. Our friends who were on a site near us because we recommended the park to them said they won't come back because of that, but we will because we've been coming for several years and all other visits the bathrooms have been better.

Excellent campground. Tidy and clean, and quiet!

4 stars for check-in process. Came on a Sunday and waited in the long line of cars for over 50 minutes. Needs to be a separate check-in process for people with paid for reservations. The grounds are well maintained. Slight road noise during the day, but next to nothing at night. Bathrooms are decent and pretty clean for a campground. Running water, plenty of toilet paper and soap. Next to no bugs inside. Campsite (I stayed at 54) nice layout. Clean fire ring and grill. Clean and large bear box. Sturdy, clean picnic table. Plenty of spots for tent setup. Could fit a 30ft RV. The Spring is beautiful. Bring a paddle board or canoe to really experience it. Will be back!

Very beautiful campground and paddle on the spring is wonderful. The Swimming area is nice, but not as nice as in other springs.

This is a great spot for camping. Snorkling in the spring is nice, there is a lot of wildlife to see, even if the area is limited (blocked by the kayaking region). As far as I'm concerned, snorklers should be allowed to go further down the river even if there are kayakers. The infrastructure (shower, bathroom) would need to be renewed and better cleaned. The operation of the spot is given in concession and they seem to be low on staff. The best thing about that spot, during last visit in December 2022, is that we would not hear generator noise. This is great as generator ruin the camping experience at many other camping spot. The area is very calm, even with end-of-year celebration. What I learned on the site is that camper are allowed to use the day-use area (but not the parking of the day-use area?) of only the camping/spring they are renting. In other words, if you are camping at Alexander spring, you can't go to Juniper spring (or any other fee area of the forest) without paying day-use for that other area. So what I wished I had done is to camp at one spring and hop to another spring later during my trip.

Perfect little pre-Thanksgiving trip. Had the whole D loop to myself! Springs are beautiful of course. Park well maintained.

Always enjoy the clear spring water, but was disappointed with the lack of trail maintenance.

Spring was way over crowded. Never seen it like that. We could not find any open space to enjoy it. But it looked great for the others in there.

I was giving camping a try after many years.
It was divine being able to set up our tent early. We enjoyed the campsite and appreciated the bbq grill as well as the campfire site and sturdy picnic table.
The mosquitoes were very active in the heat and humidity. I got two ticks on me. The Springs are totally magnificent and so grateful for their natural beauty. We enjoyed cooking hot dogs and having s’mores.
The heat was eventually just too much for us, so we let the office know they could re rent the sold out campsite as we left the campground.

Bring bug spray, sunrise and sunset the mosquitoes were terrible. The bathroom was open but was in need of cleaning, they also had port a johns set up. Due to covid the showers on loop D were closed. The camp site was private enough we showered there using our back packing shower bags. The springs are lovely. We were there in April the weather was amazing.

The campsite was clean and well set up. We enjoyed the privacy of having some space and a little bit of forest between our site and our neighbors, but not every site has that luxury. Drinking water and bathrooms are within a short walk of every site. Our site did not have electricity; not sure about others.

The forest and the springs are absolutely beautiful. This area is one of the jewels of Florida, with nearly unlimited recreational opportunities. But that does mean that you’ll be sharing the experience with lots of other enthusiastic people. If you want seclusion here, you’ll have to hike pretty far into the woods.

We had a terrific week camping at 3 different spots around the state, with Alexander Springs as our last destination for 3 days, 2 nights. The whole week was fantastic, but we definitely saved the best for last.

My first time camping in my RV. Great piece of property. Very professional Staff and grounds patrol. Clean shower & restroom. Very quiet at night. Big variance in campsite layout. A few are solid concrete slabs w/concrete walks to the facilities (great for those no so stable, walking w/assistance, or wheeled chair). Some sites were more natural with dirt/sand/gravel, but all had firm approaches without ruts, potholes or mud.
