Loved this campground! Beautiful, quiet, clean. The sites were easy to get in to and the springs were beautiful! A beautiful place to put a kayak in and explore the area a little more.

I love the park and have been an occasional visitor since 1971. In general it is a 5 star park in my view. The problem is the sites are mostly very unlevel. The paved pad is narrow and the ground beside the pavement is washed out which leaves the edges of the pavement to break off. The results of this leave the pad a good foot above the ground making it difficult to set up steps to enter and leave the campers.I walked the park and found only five sites that did not have this issue.

We had 3 families so we chose site 35 and 38 which are next to each other with no tree separation. It worked perfectly because we were all able to be together. The showers were clean enough and the springs were perfect for the hot weather. The weekend gets really busy and there are long lines for day passes so expect a crowd at the springs. We went in July and August and there were more people in July. It wasnt theme park crowded and you had enough space to enjoy the springs without someone next to you but the picnic tables and grills were all taken by noon for both months. Most of the available grassy area for sitting were mostly unavailable for both months by noon. So come early if you want to sit and grill. Overall great experience minus the August rain shower. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We did see a bear nearby but not at the sites. There is a food storage area on each site to keep the bears away. The critters are active at night as expected. There was a raccoon searching for food during the day at a nearby campsite but they left food out so I wasnt surprised. Still a good experience and will be coming back soon.
