Renting a kayak was a super experience for us. We found the staff at the ranger station to be so friendly and helpful.

Feral cats in the campground loop B. The bathroom has a very noisy, auto-on ventilation fan upon entry.We visited in very cool weather so hot water at the bathroom sink was much appreciated and working fine.

Alexander Springs Rec area is a beautiful place to camp and a marvellous place to swim. The sites are spacious and surrounded by lovely greenery filled with birdsong. The swimming area is large and natural, the cool waters ranging from light green to deep turquoise at the springhead. Because the slope is gradual, it is a safe place for children to play and swim. The bathrooms at the camping area are perfectly clean and well maintained. But the dishwashing sink no longer has hot water as it did when we were there last year. The bathhouse at the swimming area was partly out of order in both the men and womens' section, and not very clean.

The best spring to camp at in the ocala national forest. Beautiful, big swimming area where theres plenty of room, even if crowded. Awesome snorkeling, saw tons of fish, turtles and even a couple gators. Great campsites and bathhouses for campsites as well. Loved staying here and cant wait to camp there again.
