The good- Always love the springs. Beautiful, clear and that perfect 72 degrees. The small bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We had an issue with our site upon check in and Pam was great! The not so great- The large restroom showers were a moldy mess. The vegetation (palms and the like) are completely overgrown. Branches scraped along the roof, palms scratching your camper and vehicle attempting to get into your site. Be cautious of the site dimensions. The measurements are WAY off.

The roads are very narrow and tight curves. Site 26 is nice, although I do not believe the length of the black top is as long as stated. 30 foot class C, car dolly, and no room to park our Honda Civic. Luckily it was not crowded and the rest room parking has a spot near by. The site black top is very narrow and is maybe a 10" drop to the dirt. The palmettos are overhanging a couple of feet. They were smashed against the side of the camper making access to the compartments very hard. The park employees are very persistent on warning guest not to get your vehicle wheels off of the black top stating if the DNR comes through the will give you a $250 for each wheel fine. The site was clean and roomy with a picnic table, fire ring, and secure bear box for food. The rest rooms were clean. We did not use the showers. Speaking of not crowded. I was surprised to see so many empty spots as when I made the reservation there were only two sites open. We are pretty new to all this, and I find this curious. I have seen the same issue at state parks. The park was very clean. The concession was not open, and does not look to be opening any time soon. The trails/boardwalk were also closed with no signs of opening soon. I was curious, and checked out the board walk to see why it was closed. I found that the wooden structure supporting it is very unstable, and a good reason it is closed. It is unsafe. We visited Juniper Springs also while in the area and found the trial/board walk and concession also closed. I feel the park fees are a little steep, but if you have the America All Access pass there is 50% off entrance and camping everything else is full price. Bottom line, the park is nice, but in need of major repairs. The staff was courteous. Yes, we would stay again.

We had a great experience at Alexander Springs! We stayed over the Christmas holidays at campsite 26. Campsites are very spacious, well maintained and staff are always busy (and very friendly!) taking care of the maintenance of the whole campground and recreation area. I appreciate the strictness of whether the rules are respected in terms of no trailer stands on the forest soil. We all have to do our part to keep nature as beautiful as it is. Bathrooms are clean and every evening we had hot shower water, that's pure wellness at a chilly evening in December! Thank you for a wonderful stay at Alexander Springs, keep up the good work!

We were able to check in earlier than 2 pm. The facilities were very clean. We will be returning in the future again

Nice friendly campground for short stays.
Unfortunately, there were several issues that needed to be addressed with regards to the infrastructure. On arrival at the campground we attempted to fill our water tank for the stay, but there was little pressure. Our site was asphalt but the soil around the edges of it was eroded causing a large drop off. On departure at the dump station there was no water again to clean up. These issues are critical for the safety of the campers.

This is a lovely park. The springs are beautiful, and canoe and kayaks are available for renting. Most of the campers were in tents, probably because there are no RV hook-ups on the camping sites. This made for a fun, friendly, and quiet camping experience. We hiked on the Florida trail south from the campground, and the trail was wooded and shady.
