This was perhaps the nicest camping experience weve ever hadjust the sounds of the natural world at night and in the morning. The springs were marvelous (especially during the week when there were fewer people) and we loved our paddles on the spring. We stayed 8 nightsand we were so happy to be there. Very nice staff too!

The Springs here are incredibly beautiful. The park is overall beautiful. I wish the trail with the overlook was open, but it's in need of repairs. This park needs more awareness and education about bear safety and the impact of having a population of feral cats. Well there are plenty of squirrels for the cats to hunt, they have a huge impact on the wild bird population. There were definitely less wild birds present in the camping area then there are at other parks I have visited in the area. Fair awareness and education are important for the safety of the bears. A fed bear is eventually a dead bear, because when bears associate people with food, they can become a nuisance, and also possibly aggressive. If we love the bears, we need to not feed them to keep them safe and wild.

The site, bathroom, and other facilities at this park are really nice, though they are camping dirty, like the picnic table was grungy and the shower had spiders and webs. These are things that I expect when in the woods. The important things like hot water in the showers and sturdy equipment, safe trails and toilet paper are all provided for campers. The springs are cool, at 70 degrees, nice to get into even in the winter if you're stoic.

There are several restrictions one being that the hiking trail has been closed for several years, access to river limited. outrageous prices for ice an fire wood. Yet you continue to raise your fees

Our second trip to Alexander Springs, just as great as the first. The location is beautiful, the sites are beautiful and private, and the bathrooms are clean and well-spaced

Campground we well organized and the bathrooms were always clean. Rangers were friendly and the lady who advised us when making reservations was thoughtful and helped us select sites that were ideal for our group.

Very family friendly. Will definitely go back. Our family enjoyed canoeing snorkeling and meeting new friends. Our only complaint was they shut down both big bath houses (loop B and C) all week long and the campground was at full capacity. It left us with 4 showers and 6 bath stales total for the whole campground.

When you arrive at Alexander Springs, you are greeted by friendly faces in the guard gate. Check in for our pre-booked site was easy. Firewood and ice was available for purchase too.
Despite the campground being full during spring break, many sites remained open - which helps it from feeling crowded.
We found some sites more roomy than others. Our first night on Loop A at #22 was nice because it was closer to the pathway to the day use area, our second night on Loop C #43 offered a much larger site with further distance from immediate neighbors.
Camp hosts were nice and kept the campground clean and sites prepped for the next guests. The enforced rules when needed.

I would like to return with family and/or friends.

Bathrooms and showers in the camping area were "temporarily" out of order when we arrived and remained that way all five days. I'm certain they are still out of order a week later. The park is just too wonderful to be that poorly managed.

The park exceeded expectations in all respects. We are always excited to visit a different National Recreation Area facility and have never been disappointed. Hats off to this well run part of our government.

Alexander Springs is a beautiful campground with alot to do. I will definitely be going back. I rented a Kayak and enjoined rowing along seeing all the turtles and fish in the crystal clear water. I was lucky enough to see a couple bear Cubs playing on a downed tree along the bank. If you go, be sure to keep your food locked up, otherwise raccoons and maybe a couple bears will be helping themselves to your food.
