Beautiful location. Lots of shade, even on the non-paved trails. Its a bit of a walk to the dock from the parking lot, even the equipment drop off area. They advertised carts to carry gear, but we never saw any.

Area around campsite was spotless. The shower house was well maintained and clean. Seemed as though the camp host was working 24/7. Saw them numerous times during my 3 day stay drive by with cleaning supplies in hand.

Very nice sites that have what you need (table, fire pit, grill, bear box) apart from hookups. Without hookups you get to stay in a campground without massive and noisy RVs and instead lots of tents and tent campers. It creates a nice vibe. Lots of shade. Good bathroom facilities and expansive area at the springs for picnics and lawn games. Overall, a great spot.

This was our second time camping here, we love it here. The amenities are clean, the fire pit has a little grill over it, there’s bathrooms in walking distance of all camp sites, the springs is in walking distance (obviously), and they have hiking trails you can take. They don’t have maps of the area at the front office but once you begin walking on the path directly across from them you’ll find a sign posted with paper maps.
I definitely recommend staying here.

My friend and I enjoyed Alexander Springs! We stayed at campsite 14. Unfortunately for us, it rained both nights that we were there, but the second night was made much easier by putting up our hammocks and stringing up a tarp to make a canopy (as opposed to getting water in our tent the first night)! The springs and the trails were beautiful, so be sure to check those out!

I was the only camper. It was a rare and wonderful experience. So peaceful. Kayaked down the springs and then swam in the springs with an otter.

Only one bathroom had showers. And the bathroom near us was closed. They should have that on the website. The people next to us played soccer till 3:30 am. They had head lights and kept flashing them into our tents. There should be someone

It was our first time camping here at Alexander Springs and we loved it. We car tent camped and it was fun! Our daughter enjoyed it too! The bathrooms and shower were very clean and employees very nice. Each camp site had the bear boxes where you can store your food which was very convenient. It's a primitive site so you need to prepare well if you are going tent camping.

Lot 14 was a perfect distance from the restroom facility (which was very clean), dumpster, and water stations. The anti-bear storage containers looked pretty new and were a great surprise (we thought we'd have to keep all our supplies in the car). The hosts did drive around on golf carts every couple hours, but to my knowledge didn't have to get onto anyone-- everyone around us was respectful of quiet time.Unfortunately, the shorter Timucuan Trail was closed for renovation, and we didn't have time to check out the larger segments of the Florida National Scenic Trail. We also didn't get a chance to kayak or fish, but saw others out on the water and it looked like fun.For anyone interested in scuba diving: you must bring your certification card/number up to the check-in desk where you will get banded. Once you are done diving, they ask that you let them know. Evidently there have been a few people that have lost their lives in a cave at the bottom of the spring, so the staff is taking extra precautions. Be advised also that alligators do come into the spring (which we were warned about). We were told they tend to come in at dusk once everyone has gotten out of the water, which did prove correct as we got out. We also saw a pair of otters come in for dinner as well. Overall we had a great time and really enjoy this campsite. Definitely recommend!
