This was our first time camping in the Ocala forest and we were not disappointed. We were met by a very friendly and accommodating lady ( Amber) who provided us with all the necessary details for our stay. Our camp site was convenient located by well maintained restrooms which had showers with hot water. Each campsite had its own grill and fire pit with food storage with well keeped grounds. We enjoyed our time with the children on our 4 hour rental canoes and got to see gators, turtles and otters and birds, later we went for a spring swim which was reshreshing. All in all it was a great experience and would love to explore the areas in the future.

It was beautiful and things to do were great. The people at the gate were very pleasant and very helpful. The weather was fantastic and we had a great time

Had a great experience with the family! Our site was right next to the restrooms and showers which was a a huge plus. Just remember to bring extra money for firewood or bring your own as the price is pretty high at $10 a bag.

Nice campround and springs. However, very noisy with many neighbors having ganerators. Should have a section of the campground with no generators

This place was awesome! We were expecting to really rough it but we were presently surprised there was convenient bathhouses and restrooms along with drinkable water. The springs were beautiful and the area wasnt crowded. We went in early December. Almost all of the sites are nice and shaded. The staff were very kind and friendly. Really close to a lot of hiking trails. Make sure you bring enough supplies. There is only a small local store nearby and you will have to drive 10-30 minutes to find a bigger store.

Let's just say the spring and camping was nice.. but the bathrooms was so nasty. Looked like it was never cleaned, hair (chunks of hair) in the shower. We payed for 2 nights and left the next day.. clean bathroom a must with little one's.

Park and campgrounds are great. We stayed at site 27 which has a lot of space and is right next to the bathroom (bathroom was closed the entire weekend). Not sure if its common, but the park has a major issue with water pressure. This caused for most bathrooms to be out of order during our stay. Full campground only using two bathrooms was not a good situation. It didnt seem like they had anyone coming to fix them during the weekend. No showers as they were ALL out of order. Park rangers should do a better job enforcing quiet hours at night. Many families with loud music until 3am. Head Spring is beautiful. Canoeing was decent, nothing much to see honestly, river is mainly dark. They rent them for the whole day but 2-3 hours is more than enough. Hiking trail was also closed, but there is a mtb trail right in front of the park. We wouldnt go back to alexander springs.
