Salt Springs has got to have the cleanest bathrooms for any park that I have ever stayed at. There is a lot to do at the park between swimming and fishing and hiking. Overall salt Springs is one of my favorite places to stay.

We loved it. Such a beautiful spring and a great atmosphere. My wife lost her phone the first night, and someone was kind enough to turn it in to the office. The crystal blue is stunning, and head down to the spring in the evening room watch the local otters fees. BE SURE TO BRING A SPOTLIGHT, THEY ARE NOT SHY!

We had a great time exploring the springs and seeing the blue crabs running around. The kayak rental was quick and easy. We got to see a couple alligators, some turtles and even a stingray! Highly recommend this area.

What an awesome site. We encountered a slightly racist and homophobic gentleman who followed us out of the state park portion at closing time. He told us specifically that it was closed, and literally sat and watched us, accelerating his golf cart while we moved a few steps to finish drying off. Please note that there were several other white patrons, still seated and not being watched by anyone.
Besides that, the facilities were nice and the camp site was awesome.

Everything was great except the showers. No hot water at all. Stayed for 4 nights with the temps in the high 40’s and low 50’s in the morning. No warm shower ruined our stay. My kids would cry when it was time to wash. We almost left early because of this.

The campground was pretty good. I like that they provide a bear box for storing food, that was way more convenient than having to constantly load things in and out of cars. The shower and restroom facilities arent like anything to write home about but they are certainly acceptable and actually pretty good for a public campground. If you want reliable hot water, you will need to avoid peak usage times, which I think is reasonable. My only other advice would be to not trust the map on recreation.gov. Ill post a picture of the actual map they give you in a review on Google Maps; this is much more accurate and indicative of the actual layout. Avoid site 128! Its a concrete pad next to the lights and incessant fans of the restroom!

We were told we had to cut our music time to 930pm when quiet time was at 10pm. We were being unfairly bothered by security because some people were going to bed early. We were being bothered all night. We will not be back to your site. When we tried to speak with management we were told someone would be in touch and no one ever did.
