We were excited to see new staff/management. The staff was very friendly but still enforced the rules. They were extremely helpful and shared info on improvements they plan to make. We have camped there for 15 plus years and loved the park. Glad we gave it another chance! We were considering not to because of staff issues last couple of visits.

We were in site 63. 40 ft MH towing. Tough to back in without being in the grass, and many walking through the site to get to the bathhouse. Other than that it was level, all utilities worked.

The springs are beautiful! RV sites are level and clean. Reservations can be challenging to get unless you book 6 months in advance but it is well worth it!

Very clean campground, visiting for two days during our travels North, would definitely recommend visiting again

We camped at Salt Springs for the 3rd time in 4 years in February 2024. This is one of the nicest, natural and fully equipped campgrounds weve stayed at. Breathtaking spring, excellent walking trails and wide, spacious RV sites make it such an enjoyable experience. We will visit again soon!

Excellent spring and campground. Howerver, we had a campground manager staying next to us that would just STARE at you and not let our 3 and 5 year olds throw water balloons at each other on a 88 degree day.

The biggest negative is that there is no internet now and need to go to the laundromat or dollar general to get access whereas a few years ago you could get internet by being near the bathrooms as they had antennas other than that facilities were very good as well as the staff

My wife and I are new to the camping world. We have camped only two times and they both were at Salt Springs. We really love the camp ground. The rangers are all very friendly and help keep the park very neat and clean. Great park to visit.

Have never had a bad experience at this park. Love having the full hookups. The only drawback in the month of April is the venomous caterpillars that fall from the trees.

The campground at Salt Springs Recreation Area is well maintained. Sites are clean, the restrooms are in great shape, and the staff there are really friendly and helpful. I particularly like that the sites in the main campground have full hookups, but for those who prefer fewer luxuries, theres a primitive camping area as well. Finally, the river and spring areas are first class.

Wonderful experience. Very clean and well-kept. At first, I was concerned as it seemed crowded, but there is actually a lot of space behind all the sites so it seemed very private. In addition, it was quiet. Too many campgrounds tend to have people blaring music all day and into the evening. This was quiet. Loved being able to launch our kayaks into the Spring run. The showers are the only concern, as trying to shower with little ones and keep on hitting the button to have it come back on is a bit of an inconvenience, but not too much. Love the multiple trash dumpsters and the recycle bins. Will definitely be back.

Nice campground with well-spaced sites. Beautiful springs and nice nature trail. Disappointed, however, that other recreation areas in Ocala NF charged additional fees if we were to visit. Thought one fee should cover them all. And many roads to other sites in the NF were dirt and sand which wouldn't accommodate our motor home. We were unable enjoy the NF as much as we hoped.
