Beautiful, large spaces with great full hookups. Hiking trails plus the springs make this one of the best forest service camps weve ever visited!

We used site 49 with our 33' Class A and toad. Rear of pad is about 2" higher than front so leveling was needed but easy enough to do. Very clean fhp site and some shade. Good cell signal with ATT and T-Mobile.

Early winter is the perfect time to stay in this campground. The spring is relatively empty and we saw tons of fish! The one downside is that lately, the rules of the campground seem to be very strongly enforced. We saw a camp host knock on our neighbor’s door at nearly 9pm to ask him to move his truck off the grass (it was only on the grass a little). The man had to come out in his pajamas in the dark and cold to move his truck over 1 foot. We also witnessed a camp host be very nasty with our neighbors - he was right about the problem, but very wrong about how he spoke to the guests (let’s not forget, as campers, we’re guests). The campground is forming a pretty bad reputation as having camp hosts that are “campground commandos” and it’s pretty sad considering what a wonderful park this is. I still rated high because we love the park, we just wish the camp hosts would back off a little.
One last note - perhaps the staff could find another time to close and clean all the bathrooms than the same time people are checking out and dumping their tanks. That’s probably the worst time to do it, and they were closed for over an hour, leaving many without the ability to use the bathroom before they hit the road.

Would not stay in site 49 again. Terrible, weird configuration wedged in among 4 sites. Fire ring sits at junction of those other sites so unusable. Check in easy, but they didn't wear mask even though very close...disconcerting.
My only regret is that we did not stay long enough. 5-7days would have been better.

My wife and I are pretty new to the RV world. We have been to a RV resort, a state park and now Salt Springs in the Ocala National Forest. I can say that Salt Springs was our favorite so far. We will continue to go back there every year, if not more. The camps sites were everything you would hope for. We had a good time fishing, walking the area and riding bikes. The spring is beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping within twenty miles of the campground. We have Verizon and had no trouble with the use of phones or hotspot. There is nothing negative to say about our stay. Can’t wait to go back.

The hosts at Salt Springs were extremely helpful and friendly. The campground is immaculate and it’s very apparent that the staff take pride in their jobs. This campground will be very high on my list for a return trip.

My one and only complaint is I feel they campers should have access to the parking lot when going down to the springs. My husband has COPD and it’s very difficult for him to walk the wooded path. Other than that, I very much love the campground.
The campground was clean and very well maintained. However the reservation system is abysmal. The reservation system showed that the reserved sites were completely booked while dozens of campsites were vacant. Additionally, the staff was unwilling to allow us to change campsites to be closer or next to friends while 3 campsites next to our friends sat vacant for days.
The management was very helpful. Also the electricity/plumbing/ and water hookup was wonderful. We will definitely be back next year. Just a wonderful experience. Thank you soooo much.
