The staff is excellent!!! Had a great site and great time. The trick or treat was very nice and scary. Well maintained place even after the hurricane! Will be back soon.

I like the cleanliness of the park and the bathrooms. However, in my opinion the employees that oversee the park have the attitude and believe they our gods. They creep around spying on everyone to see if they are doing anything they dont like. I personally did not have any issues but, as I sat at my campsite I watch how ridiculous they were. If someone had a 1/2 of their tire on the grass or off the concrete pad they made a big deal out of it or if they felt they were going 11 mph they would drive their golf cart in front of their vehicle and stop them and proceed to get on them like they were a child. Also I saw them hiding behind trees and watching people. I witnessed a person pulling up and parked on the road to unload a few things and as soon as they did they swarmed them like they were the swat team and proceeded to yell at them and would not let them finish unloading before making them park at the overflow parking and they had to carry the rest of their items to the site. If anyone tried to challenge them they would threatened to make them leave. It was really sad to see all this going on. They made you feel like you could not relax and enjoy being there. I heard so many people complaining about how stressful they made it to camp. I believe they have been given to much power and think they are to run the place like a prison. I probably will not go back for awhile due to this. I go camping to get away from all the drama and to sit back and witness all this was crazy.

Great Campground & Facilities, Unhelpful Check In Staff. We found this to be a surprisingly beautiful place. The spring was fabulous with well-maintained grounds and easy access. The campground was beautiful, well maintained with clean restrooms. We stayed four nights during the week and upon arrival asked if we could move to a different campsite with more sun and less shade. We were told no without any explanation why. There was a sign on the counter that stated, "No Changing Sites". We arrived on a Monday and were leaving on Friday and the campground was approximately 50% occupied. There are also several first come, first served sites so I inquired about one of those sites and was told I could move but would forfeit my entire fee for the original site. This was very disappointing. We've travelled full time for about six months and have always encountered friendly staff willing to accommodate requests, when possible, but not here. In spite of this we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We kayaked in the spring run and swam in the spring. We hope the campground contractor will change their approach to accommodating guests.

This was our fourth trip. Park personnel were great. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Wish the bathrooms were heated when cold weather comes.

The campground was very clean however not being able to park your boat close to your campsite made for very irritating and long walks to our boat.

The management staff is too involved/invasive. Salt Springs is a natural resource cared for via tax payers. It’s essentially owned by the public who pays for its upkeep. After my last stay I can’t help but think the management company and its staff should be reminded that they’re in place as stewards of the park. Staff should be just as available for questions and booking help as they are when they notice a car tire on a 2” section of grass. Seems they’re under the misconception that they’re main purpose is rule enforcement and have forgotten they are serving customers whose tax dollar pays their salary.

We loved the beautiful campground; wide spaces, super clean and tidy, newer looking picnic tables, well placed fire pits, full hookups, etc. The salt spring is super cool. Check in folks were helpful and friendly. We will be back. Thank you.

This was our first camping trip and it was a success. Thank you Salt Springs! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Great staff, especially the woman that registered us in. Thanks again!

We go to salt springs about 4 times a year and always enjoy the stay. This time the staf was very nice and took good are of us.I did think that the price of our frinds going to the spring was a little too high for a state park.

The campground is well run and clean. The area has excellent hiking and kayaking. What I do not like was that there is no internet available and I abhor those showers the federal facilities install.
@KimW672 · Camped on Mar 26, 2021 at Campsite #39
Beautiful park, nice campsites. Information about when you were allowed in the Springs did not line up with actual time you were allowed in Springs. Paperwork said 8am to dusk and we were kicked out, rudely, from the Springs at 6pm (sundown was close to 8pm), that was highly disappointing.. But the park is clean and saw employees actively cleaning up after guests. We hope to return again.
