The springs were closed because of the hurricane, then we were told we couldnt use the sewage!

We stayed 9 days in February We enjoyed swimming in the Springs and seeing Manatees along with lots of wildlife. We drove 20 plus miles to Alexander Springs for a day of kayaking.

Friendly and easy well organized check-in process. Sites are beautifully kept, large grassy areas with shade. Springs are a short walk away. By far our favorite campground!

We stayed at Salt Springs for Spring Break. The sites were nice and clean, hookups were awesome, and the park was well taken care of. The springs picnic area was prone to scavenging wildlife, but that's to be expected in a forest. The water access at the springs was nice and the park crew was always around. For our first Ocala National Park experience we liked it a lot we will be back in the summer.

I didnt like that there wasnt any park rangers anywhere to be found that is one of the reasons we stay at state parks & the whole park is ran by a lawn care company felt like we were being watched by some of the crew in a creepy way not sure if we will come back.

We had our senior's pass in our tow vehicle. At the last moment we decided not to tow our vehicle behind the motorhome on this trip. When we arrived at the campground office, the young lady insisted that we have our senior's pass. Showing her our online reservation confirmation with our senor's pass number and FL State driver's licence ID it did not matter and she charged us the senior's pass discount difference.

Beautiful well maintained campground. Large paved spaces for RV's. Mature trees, Easy hook-ups. We loved the Salt Spring.

We are RV Floridians and love to visit Salt Springs Recreation area in Ocala National Forest where there is full hook-up and beautiful, relaxing surroundings.
