Note that you may need to visit this campground before the end of 2024, since it may be closing at that time. It is a great place to camp, with full hookups if you want to go that route.

Loved it. Extremely well run by top notch people. Bathrooms were spotless as were the sites. Very disappointed to learn that theyre being forced to close at the end of the year as its one of our favorite campgrounds.

Our experience was quite pleasant. There was a couple of incidents with people in our group encountering a very rude and disrespectful park employee, though.

We stayed at Salt Springs Recreation Area campground in February 2023 for 8 days. We found the sites to be spacious, quiet, clean and most were shaded by large live oak trees. All of the RV sites have full hook ups, which is so convenient. The staff were friendly, and we observed them ensuring every site that was vacated was clean and tidy for the next guest. The springs were a short bike ride from the campground, and were just beautiful. We snorkeled in them and so enjoyed the clear and blue water. There were schools of mullet, turtles, funny little blue crabs and even manatees just outside of the swim area. The park is in close proximity to beautiful Alexander Springs and Silver Glen Springs which we visited as well. We absolutely will stay at Salt Springs Recreation Area again!

The grounds were very clean. As a camper would leave, someone would be right there plowing leaves away and making sure it's golden for the next rig. There was plenty of room in the sites. A little pricier than we've paid but was worth it. At the springs you can see big fish and blue crabs. Worth it to check it out.

Loved the orderliness, cleanliness, friendliness of staff and their helpfulness. Sites were very nice. Wish you had internet service. Hard to go without for a week. Was disappointed you didn't honor the national parks card. I got it specifically for the trip on recommendation of a ranger who worked there a while ago. Anyway overall it was a fun time. Thank you.

Beautifull park and Springs area to swim. Campsites were very spacious, full hookup!, and everything was so well maintained. Will be back

Well maintained, beautifully laid out campground. Road noise is a bit loud during the day, but it was bike week in Daytona so probably more noise than is typical. Loved the springs, but very busy on the weekend. Nice nature trail.

No privacy that most State Parks have. The caterpillars were a nuisance. The springs are no part of the park....... a mess...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. I just wished I had picked a better campsite. The site was too close to the neighbor. There are other sites there that are a lot better. It was a little cool to go swimming for us but it didn’t deter others. We would sit and watch the springs bubble up looking and finding blue crabs.
