Salt Springs is one of our favorite springs in Florida. The head spring is large and very clear. Some areas are shallow enough to stand up and others are deep, depending on the time of year and rainfall. The campsites are clean with fire pits and the park staff makes sure no one is too loud after 10pm. It's a fantastic place for families. There's also an amazing pizza/ Italian restaurant almost across the street (maybe 1/4 mile away) which has great food, especially the garlic knots and lasagna. I highly recommend this state park.

The campsite is extremely crowded and loud more like a playground. Nothing peaceful about it. The park is rundown and seems to be doing some construction. If the kids on elec scooters yelling and bouncing basketball wasnt annoying enough apparently next door has karaoke till 10pm. We almost packed up multiple times and drive home. It could be great but sadly it isnt.

The campground is great, the staff was friendly and helpful. We were very disappointed that the Salt Springs were closed. We couldn't hike or go kayaking. I get all kinds of emails about upcoming reservations and receipts, rate your experience, etc. When it came to letting us know the condition of the Salt Springs, we got one crumby phone call, and it was unintelligible! We had booked 2 nights because we liked the Spring so much last year. Because we really couldn't do anything on the grounds we decided to just pack up and leave after one night. We hope to be able to use the Springs again some time. If you could give us a raincheck for a future visit that would be nice. In the future when you know that a Recreational Area is really not up to your usual standards I think it is important to send a better message. Thanks for trying, but it wasn't enough.

What a wonderful hidden gem. The camp sights were nice and spacious and laid out nicely. We did hear rumors of the park closing, I hope that isn't the case we would love to come back!

Salt Springs was an amazing destination! The camping facilities are fantastic. Nice, spacious sites with full hookups except cable. The actual springs were so much fun frost in the fresh, crystal clear water. Truly a hidden gem!

This a wonderful family campground! I love that there are young and old alike camping there. The grounds are very well-kept and the spring is beautiful. The staff are always friendly.
