The campground hosts were very helpful and informative. We had site 1 and had a new hose bib on the site. The sites had plenty of space between each other. There was some road noise from trucks at night. The state road was close by

We were on Site #1. Most sites are level and have plenty of room. Campgrounds are kept up very well and the showers are kept exceptionally clean. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back to this campground.

One of my favorite spots. Nice hike on their trail now that its cleaned up from the storm.

Love Salt Springs so much. The campgounds are the best of Florida in my opinion. The springs are so inviting. And the people who work there are always friendly and helpful. Hope to be back even more as we retire.

Love the full hookups and the beautiful spring is a short bike ride away. Great pizza across from the entrance and down a bit, also a short bike ride. Very quiet and plenty of sites have shade. Well be back!

Great experience. Sites are shady, clean bathrooms, staff are excellent. Springs within biking or walking distance. Definitely will schedule return visits.

Salt Springs Recreation Area Campground is one of our all time favorite places to camp in Florida with our motorhome. The RV sites are paved with full hookups, including sewer, with the facilities conveniently located. The park is kept clean and neat with a staff that stays right on top of site checks as each guest leaves. The springs are worth time for a visit as well. The village of Salt Springs is right outside of the park, and has all the basics that anyone could need. More extensive shopping and restaurant choices are only about 25 minutes away in Palatka, as well as extensive medical facilities if needed. We very much look forward to returning to Salt Springs Recreation Area in the future.

We loved the campground and facilities. The Salt Springs are wonderful for splashing and observing wildlife. The staff was very friendly and always present to help with anything we needed. My only concern is the lack of WIFI and cell service. Being "off the grid" is nice but if we needed to communicate with our family back home we had to drive at least 8 miles to get a signal. We have T-Mobile. The campground had WIFI in the past and the reason the staffer gave us for not offering it anymore was confusing. If they are not going to provide WIFI, there needs to be a landline phone available for campers to use for emergencies if needed.

Wonderful outdoor recreational place...quiet roads for children to safely ride bikes, beautiful springs with well manicured park for swimming or picnicing. We will come again!!

Salt Springs Recreation Area Campground is an excellent facility with paved full hookup RV sites. The park has always been reasonably quiet when we've been there, and the utilities are well placed for hooking up. Our AT&T cell service worked well in the park, but Verizon was weak. A visit to the springs is a must while visiting here. The village of Salt Springs is small with just a Dollar General and a local grocery store for food shopping. There a few restaurants in the area, with nice homestyle breakfast and lunch diner just across the street from the park. Major stores and restaurants are within a 30 minute drive to either Palatka or Ocala. We highly recommend this park and expect to return often with our motorhome.

There are plenty if activities to do there. But we were only there for a day and a half we didn’t do much of them. We plan on going back soon. But had a good time.

Salt Springs Recreation Area campground is full hookup park in the Ocala National Forest that's well managed with a friendly, helpful staff. The park is kept clean and maintained well, with a quick response to any issues that might arise. We have stayed at the park several times now in our motorhome, and look forward to the opportunity to stay there again since it's one of our favorite locations.

The springs are a 15 minute walk from the main campground. Well kept and spacious spots. This campground does NOT HAVE easy access to WIFI AND DOES NOT ALLOW golf carts or motorized vehicles!! We were even called out for allowing our toddler to ride a small power wheel because it is "motorized". A bit strict considering the maintenance staff utilizes golf carts. Also no playground or recreational area other than basketball courts. The spring itself it gorgeous and worth a visit.

We have stayed at Salt Springs several times. The campground is spacious with plenty of walking areas for exercising. Even when the campground is full, it doesn't seem like there is that many people there. There is plenty of room between the campsites for the family to throw the ball or frisbee without interfering with others.
