This campground is a gem! The sites are placed that allow maximum privacy. The grounds and bath houses are kept in top condition. The individuals that greet you as you enter are super friendly. The location makes it very easy to travel to kayaking, restaurants, and the beach. I highly recommend Salt Springs Recreation Area for your central Florida stay.

Very disappointed in the customer service . We arrived Thanksgiving eve afternoon. Our site, 43, had a recent petroleum spill. We have a dog, it smelled and when I wiped it, the paper towel came up black. A park maintenance employee looked at it, said it was dry and that there was nothing they could do. I went to the office and asked to move. They said they were full, plus they dont allow moving sites. I was told the only way we could move was to cancel 43, with no refund, and pay for a non reservable site. Which we did. Our 2 night stay was over $260 for a 22 van. The campgrounds non reservable section had at least 8 empty sites for the 2 mornings we were there.Having this happen, learning that the trails all closed, being told to leave the officially closed day use area even though we were just walking through with our dog, which I get, but it all did not make for a favorable experience.Note: The campground is run by American Land and Leisure, Pleasant Grove, Utah under a concession contract with the U.S.D.A Forest Service.

Nice spread out campground and picnic area with tables/fire grills next to spring.

Had fun all of the hosts and staff were very welcoming and kind. While we have an RV and everything was perfect to go to the boat launch you had a go through the tent area. It looks like that area needs a little TLC.

The park is always beautifully kept. love the paved level spaces and the space between campers. Staff from entry to campground hosts are always friendly and helpful. My only negative is the showers. Their cleanliness lacks especially in the shower stalls. Mildew and mold are very prevalent. Some of the drainage seems to be be ineffective for the amount of water being sprayed out by the shower heads. The other issues is always the timer on the push button for the shower controls. They are to short on timing before they automatically turn off. They may need adjustments for a minimum of 5 minutes of water. You barely get soaped up and they shut off or you have to use one arm to hold the button on while you try to bathe yourself with the other under the water. Nice size stall unless you are reaching fro the water control and trying to bathe yourself while holding the water control. These bathrooms are due for a make over for sure in the water control, and a good cleaning. Beyond that a very beautiful park. I do not mind the charge on daily stay, but we could have a cleaner, better working water control. Thank you.

Top rate, great park to spend some time in. Run by Professionals who know how to run a park. All of the park kept clean and manicured. We enjoy this park and make it our choice several times a year.

We love this park, it is so clean and the maintenance staff takes excellent care of the facilities. This is our third trip to Salt Springs.

Nice spacious sites . . . some partially or fully wooded.

Swimming in the springs was a "swimming hole" memory of my youth.

The campground is isolated . . . 20 miles to civilization (restaurants).
