Springs are lovely with huge swimming area and many shallow spots for standing. Campground was spacious with many shade trees. The full hook-ups were a bonus! Very impressed with our 1st visit and hope to return next winter.

This is one of our favorite campsites in Florida. We camp here twice a year for a week at a time. Sites and access roads are paved with asphalt. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful. Check-in is swiftly completed. Easy walk to Salt Spring, clear water and great to swim in, constant 74-degree water temperature. Hiking trails are nearby in the Ocala National Forrest. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. Sites are shaded and not on top of each other.

Campgrounds ,springs and staff are fantastic! I am a snorkeler and enjoy snorkeling the freshwater springs in The Ocala National Forest ,which are all within a half hour driver of this recreational area. A few state parks with springs are also near by. We enjoy this place very much.

Beautiful campground. Very spacious sites. Bathhouse was clean. Salt Springs were nice but prefer to go during the week. Very busy during the weekend!

Beautiful location, was a bit cold though and we didn't see any manatees although heard others had this week. I wish there was more flexibility with the reservations, was really inconvenient to unhook camper and move around piecemeal to 4 different sites during our one week stay. We saw empty sites, that should have been cancelled out even though paid for and No Show.

This campground is the best of the best. Sites are very spacious, blacktop pads, great hook ups, nice fire pits that are cleaned. This is my kind of camping, clean restrooms, full hookups, very clean everywhere. The Springs were crystal clear absolutely gorgeous to swim in. This campground has plenty of areas to walk and bike ride as well as trails in the woods. The staff was absolutely awesome with there help and deliverance of firewood, especially Ron and his wife Lori. Restaurants across the street as well as a laundromat.

Salt Springs Recreation Area is one of the best kept campgrounds in the United States. I base my opinion on over 30 years of camping in all of the lower 48 states. I must mention 2 campground workers, Ron and Davaun. I camped for 4 days in my RV and during my stay these 2 workers did an excellent job of maintaining the campground and were friendly to the guest in the campground.

Salt Springs was enjoyable as always. The staff is so helpful and the park is always in great shape. The water in the springs was down due to the drought, but we enjoyed escaping the heat of the day with a cool swim. I did enjoy catching some fish in the Salt run on our rented pontoon boat from the marina, where the staff is so very friendly every time we have been there.

Full hook ups, nice clean park. Can walk, drive or bicycle to springs from campground. There is not much privacy, but the sites are spaced adequately. Paved road and pads for trailers/RV's were a plus.

Staff in office was super helpful and friendly for check in. RV spot was clean and well maintained. Park as whole is so well cared for. I saw rangers patrolling every time I was outside. I never needed anything from them, but was nice to see them always out there making sure everything was running safely and smoothly.
