The tent sites are very close together and not private at all, plus the road that the tent sites are on is heavily eroded and uneven, I don't mind a dirt road and I can understand potholes etc. but this is a great way to tear up your car if you don't have a lot of clearance. The campground is also right across the road from some kind of restaurant or dive bar that on the second night of my stay had a live band playing from around 8pm until nearly midnight. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper it would not have been possible to sleep with this going on, that's how loud it was. I get that the campground can't control something like this but because of this alone I doubt I would ever stay here again. Additionally, I found elements of the swimming area to be rather unpleasant. Yes, it is gorgeous and there is a lot of room both in and out of the water so you're not right on top of everyone else, but boats are allowed to pull right up to the swimming area, so people will park their boats right where the spring is roped off and blast incredibly loud music all day long. While I get that people ruining the peace and ambiance of a space like this by forcing their music on everyone else is not exactly uncommon, it was just incredibly unpleasant and irritating when trying to relax and enjoy the spring.

We had a tent site just a short walk away from the springs and the boat ramp in this beautiful park. The rest rooms were clean and the park was well maintained.

Wonderful campgrounds with only even numbered sites open during the pandemic. We even swam in the springs and saw a manatee up close! Beautiful grounds with very friendly caretakers and people in general. Will definitely return!

You need to see the spring at the night.
