We arrived the day of our planned family trip and were notified that we werent on the site that we booked in advance. We booked site 31 for 3 nights , which was next to our families site. They moved us to site 48 that is absolutely not a good spot with out any notice. We received nothing in advance letting us know of the change or even asking us if we would want to cancel the site due to the change in site location. We were told we could pick a site along the first row as you come into the park. We drove around , picked the site went back to the office and requested the site that we wanted, which was site 101 and we were told we could not get that site because there was a water issue, with that being said, the young woman running, the desk, wrote down some site numbers on a piece of paper and we drove around once again and picked another site 24 which wasnt the best site either. I still have confirmation from Recreation.gov stating that I stayed in site number 31 for three days , I have notification from Recreation.gov saying that my upcoming trip was site 31 for three days. I also have notification from recreation.gov that once a site is reserved, You cannot change the site so with this being said, my question is how come when we got to the campground our site was changed with no notification , or even the option prior to arriving to pick a different site the campground just assumed that we would like the site that they gave us which was a terrible site number 48 hot and miserable. Anyways, Ive camped at this campground multiple times and never had these issues. Unfortunately, this left a bad taste in our mouths and we will probably most likely never visit here again it was awful and I would never leave a review like this but unfortunately the situation arose and somebody needs to do something about this. I feel like I should be refunded my money without any questions asked.

We were very concerned about how slippery the steps were in the swimming area. We asked for a wire brush to clean them ourselves. We were told it was too big of a liability. The steps are a major liability. As well, we cancelled our last night and requested a refund. Have had no response. As well $60/night is too high. The park and swimming area is beautiful and the upgrades to the bath houses were appreciated. The lack of wifi is unfortunate. When we were at salt springs before, there was wifi.

Sites are pretty good size and full hookups - Bear Swamp Trail is closed due to needing cleaning from storms but didn't see anyone working on it while we were there - appears to have been closed a long time - campground conveniently located to small restaurants and laundromat right across the street

Well maintained National Park. Site 31 was mostly level. No issues with 30A power (50A available). Water pressure was only about 30 to 35 psi. On-site sewer connection was very good and easy to use. Bath hoses were very clean. Plenty of hot water.Paved roads in good condition, making bike riding a breeze. We would gladly stay again.

Spacious and mostly level sites with full hook-ups. Some shade. Decent AT&T and Verizon service. Around 60 sites are reservable, but they also have maybe 20 that are FCFS.

I was able to reserve 6 nights. Campground is very well taken care of. With several empty FF sites I decided I would stay a few more days. Got there just as the office had opened and was told by an employee that the sites were taken. I inquired why, as they were setting empty, and was told that he thought it had something to do with the forest service. He couldn't explain. Told me to go ahead and hook up my camper and Wait down at the springs until they called me to see if I could get in on a reservable site for a couple of nights. Never called. I went back after a couple of hours and they had me a reservable site for a couple of nights. Once the motorhomes started pulling in to those spots, it didn't take me long to figure out the FF sites had been held, probably for the regulars. I went back that evening and confronted the employees in the office at that time about it. No denial. One said I was just doing what I was told. I said I'm sure you were but it stinks that you would be holding empty, first come first serve sites. I stayed my two nights and left.

Salt Springs is a very beautiful park and this is the 2nd visit for us. Our volunteer, Ron, was extremely helpful to us when we had a different site reserved for our 2nd day, and he helped make the move seamless. He was very friendly and let us know about all the services he could provide. We highly recommend this park and enjoyed our time there!
