Our experience at Salt Springs Recreation Area was nothing short of enchanting, especially as we chose to stay in the primitive tent area. Despite our rustic choice, the facilities were exceptional, showcasing a commitment to quality that extended even to the more secluded corners of the campground. The pristine condition of the tent area mirrored the overall cleanliness of the grounds. It was evident that the staff's dedication to maintenance and cleanliness extended to every nook and cranny, ensuring a comfortable stay even in the midst of nature. The proximity to the breathtaking spring pool was a highlight. Waking up to the allure of the crystal-clear waters, just a small walk away from our tents, was a surreal experience. The tranquil ambiance of the primitive tent area, coupled with the mesmerizing beauty of the spring pool, created an atmosphere that was both serene and invigorating.Additionally, being in the tent area didnt detract from the excellent service provided by the award-winning staff. They were just as attentive and accommodating, catering to our needs and ensuring our stay was nothing short of delightful.Salt Springs Recreation Area offers a seamless blend of natural beauty and superb amenities, making it a haven for campers seeking both adventure and comfort. Staying in the primitive tent area allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of this remarkable place while still enjoying the fantastic facilities and warm hospitality.

I am writing this review only because I went camping from Thursday October 1 2020-Monday October 5 2020 and I were so excited for my family and I to actually relax and have fun with friends but it was the worst camping experience ever. Let me start by saying I did have a few camp workers that were professional and respectful and professional but then we had the manager of the park which was disrespectful, unprofessional, and just plain out rude. Like I said we came in on Thursday the 1st of October and the first person we were greeted by was Tammi which was amazing she was upbeat and was very knowledgeable and happy and nice to all that came through. We got to the sight and there were no clear markings of the sights but a post with numbers on them so we set up our sights right in the middle of our two sight which were right next to one another that way we can spend the weekend together and not have to be loud and bothersome of other campers. The next day all was going well until when my friends family and Mine went down to the waterhole and got a call over my walkie from my husband saying we need to come back to camp asap there is an issue. We all hurried back to camp and my husband tell me we have to separate the tents 10 feet apart or we will be asked to leave. so we all worked together and got the tents approx. 10 feet apart and thought all was good because we had the two camp hosts Lynn and Rick pull up and tell us thank you and it was good. Well then later that night the camp manager Cliff m. came over and flipped out saying we need to remove one of the tents and that he will not ask again which he did not ask in the first place so we did it right after dinner. After dinner we took one tent down and put all of our kids in the tents with us.....
