Beautiful campground and well managed. Washrooms were cleaned showers were nice with lots of water pressure. Firewood could have been better but it burned ok

I rate Salt springs recreational area camping grounds 5 starts because of how nice and helpful the staff was. Very caring and friendly. Especially Jessica, very accommodating! I came here with my family to celebrate moms bday and it was such a memorable experience.. the bathrooms were clean, the site we were on was thankfully not so close to the others.. some are really too close to each other (that is the only negative thing I can say about this place). The springs were beautiful and we snorkeled at Jessicas suggestion and had a wonderful time!! I would definitely come again!

The primitive sites were very spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were clean with hot showers. (although some of the valves need repairs because they leak.) There was a great dishwashing station. Everything you would need for services/supplies/groceries is very close by! The spring is beautiful! Our cell phones didnt have service at our site but we could use the free WiFi at the gate house. I do wish there was recycling at the primitive sites. We really enjoyed this campground!

The springs were lovely, beautifully maintained, and definitely the highlight of camping here. Most of the campsites are clustered together in an open field area, and there's very little privacy. That means if your neighbor decides to rev the engine of his truck from 1 to 2 am for no apparent reason, or play music at 90 decibels for hours on end, you'll be along for the ride. Not a lot of sleep happening here. The staff were very competent and friendly, but clearly had their hands full with the crowd (to be fair, it was Memorial Day weekend, and the place was packed). If you're used to camping in highly developed campgrounds, you'll probably love it here. If you're used to camping in wilder places, you probably won't. We packed up at 6:30am after a mostly sleepless night and left a day early.

Friends and I stayed at site 135 Halloween weekend 2020. Lots of space, shade. Grounds are taken care of, and the bathrooms were clean. The walk to the springs was brief (5 min) and not bad at all, but we are all young/healthy/mobile- might be daunting for anyone older or for small children. . There weren't many bugs, which had been a fear of mine. The campground itself is very open/flat, so there isn't much privacy, but there is ample space so you're not on top of each other. We had the misfortune of being located directly across of a very rowdy group of campers - blasting the entire Kid Rock catalog out of their truck non-stop. The camp host did stop by several times via golf cart to speak to the group, but they always turned their music up after the host left so it seems the hosts are limited in what they can do. I guess that is always the gamble when camping at a campground, but we were very relieved when the entire group left around 6pm on Saturday and the rest of the weekend was lovely. Everyone else staying at the campground was respectful of other campers so I do think it was just an instance of bad luck. I will go back and give this campground another shot.
