Great location. Large sites with FHU. The Springs were beautiful and the park staff was very helpful. Just remember DO Not park on the grass. There is a laundromat across the street as well as a Dollar General very nearby. Ocala is a 30 minute drive. Such a beautiful park! Cant wait to visit again.

We had an amazing time camping at Salt Springs 3/28-3/31. The campground is clean and quiet and the atmosphere is very calming. We enjoyed the springs and brought our kayaks and loved that we could launch them and not have to pay extra or have any hassle. The campground workers are very nice and did a great job explaining everything. We can't wait to book another trip really soon!!

Friends who have been here several times recommended Salt Springs as a great Florida RV destination and they were right! The RV sites are nicely spaced. The walk from the RV to the springs is mostly flat and easy. The springs are beautiful and crystal clear. The facilities were very clean. Whats not to enjoy?

A great camping spot. All RV sites have water, power, and sewer. The springs are about a 1/4 mile walk and are fantastic!

Beautiful park, keep scrupulously clean by staff. Springs are great on a hot day. Our 4th visit, will be back again next year.

This is a lovely park. Well maintained and beautiful. The spring is outstanding. I would recommend bringing a kayak or canoe as there are a limited amount of rentals available at the nearby local marina.

This is a good campground but their price increase recently puts it on par with Florida's great state parks. We usually stop here every year on our wat to and back from the Everglades. The massive turnover on employees makes service marginal.

Wonderful campsite (with full hook-ups), clean bathrooms, and plenty of recreational options: the Salt Spring itself, and several other springs in Ocala National Forest, and many hiking trails. The overnight cost is a little high for those who don't have a national senior pass or some other discount. We'll plan to come again!!

The campground was excellent and campsites all looked great. Only disappointment was that the Beautiful spring and some hiking trails were closed from recent storms. If not for these 2 setbacks then a solid 10 rating.

Much better than a previous visit. Some of the worker camp sites were very junky and un-kept. The whole park was much better kept.

Although the park was reflectivity full it was quite an peaceful. The sites were very clean as well as the bath house. We would certainly recommend to our friends and look forward to our next visit.

I love salt springs and that is why i booked a Wednesday thru Monday. I loved our spot 51 and enjoyed swimming in the springs Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. What I didnt like was the fact that if we wanted to swim Saturday and Sunday we would have to walk to the spring instead of driving. Whoever made this rule should rethink it. The campers are paying over 50.00 a night while the day use is minimal. Also, if you leave to go do laundry or a restaurant on the weekend it is a zoo when you try to get into a one lane road access. This needs to be addressed somehow with an entrance gate for the campers.

The mens middle shower was on constantly, it was hot water spewing the entire time we were there. We asked why it wasn't being fixed, they acknowledged it was broken and has been for months. They said they need a part, my husband is a retired plumber and told them all they needed to do was screw off the nozzle and cap it off. The staff was adamant there was nothing they could do.We suggested that they just shut the water off and close that restroom. Was told no because then the tent campers would have to walk further. So thousands of gallons of water are continuing to be wasted. Water is in short supply and should not be wasted so people can save a few steps. This is unacceptable for a government owned campground.

LOVED this place! Our particular campsite was very spacious and the park was very quiet while we were there. Very restful and relaxing and mostly unplugged since wifi was non existent in our part of the Campground and no cable or antenna TV. Cell signal was so so. But that made for great family time at the Campground and Springs! We will be back!!

We absolutely love salt springs! The only issue we do have is the parking situation for the campers wanting to swim at the springs. They make the campers park in the overflow parking area when visiting the spring area to swim. It’s such a very, very far walk! They should offer a shuttle or golf cart service for the campers. It’s absolutely awful to make that long walk in this Florida heat!
